Going after big Blue Catfish

I was looking for a great Blue Catfish rod and reel, without the hassle of an open-faced spin casting reel, and let's face it Baitcasting reels are extremely expensive. Zebco 33 reels and rods have always been my favorite since being a child but had a little trouble on reeling in fish over 20lbs. I did change the line to 50lbs monofilament line on this setup and it holds enough line for me and my needs, and still cast just as good. Now all I have to do is hook into Moby Blue. LOL Have a Blessed one John

One of the best!

This is a beast of a rod and reel! Definitely one you want to either sit on a bank or dock with, or to have propped on a boat, because to have to move this behemoth constantly would be a chore. My father raised me on Zebco reels, and he caught more catfish with the earlier incarnations of this reel than I ever will. If it's good enough for my father, it's darn sure good enough for me.
