I bought these for my nephew. The bag says they're recommended for elk, but there aren't any where we live. There are plenty of deer, though. He had never seen anything like these bags, but said for someone who dresses their kill in the field, they were great. He liked being able to hang the quarters rather than find a log or rock to put them on. And yes, the mesh is tight enough to keep insects off, yet loose enough to let the meat breathe. To clean, he hosed them off well outdoors, then soaked them in a bucket of water with a good dish detergent, and hosed them off again. He's only used them once, but said they look fine for reuse after cleaning them like that. He also plans to use them for rabbit, duck, and squirrel. Good product, says the expert hunter in my family.

It seems that this will be a great game bag. Obviously it is not hunting season where I live but I will definitely use these when it is. Appearance is that it is a nice breathable fabric yet also durable feeling. It's thick but lightweight at the same time. It does have a nice stretch to it and is resealable.
