New refrigerator, defective right out of the box

Purchased the Norcold N7x refrigerator. Once the unit was installed it failed on the initial startup. The factory technician the I conversed with said to contact a service center which I had already done. The service center was reluctant to work on the unit because it was not purchased through them. I did find another repair center and they are working on the unit now.
