TONIC STUDIOS-Portable compact and lightweight design. The handle and measuring arm paper guide are stored underneath the main body of the base when not in use. The Kushgrip comfort handle features a stainless steel blade for a clean straight cut. A paper clamp with integrated finger guard presses down firmly to ensure paper does not move while cutting. Love this trimmer!
This is a very well made trimmer. I've been using it for almost a month and I love it. It cuts straight every time I use it. It has a place where you put your fingers down to hold paper in place to cut. It took a little bit for me to remember to do that. None of the other trimmers I've had has ever had this feature.

Best guillotine for paper crafting at a fair price
I've had the portable guillotine from Tonic for years and never liked the seam on the base at the 4” mark. This larger base really does make nicer, more even cuts when I'm cutting a 12x12” square piece of scrapbook paper to 4”, which is the vast majority of what I do. The blade travels very smoothly yet is not so loose that you need to worry about it flying open when you're moving the cutter to another location. The specs say it can handle up to 5 pieces of paper at a time, but your paper must be *extremely* thin for that to be true. My only very minor complaint is it would be nice to have a way to lock the blade in the Closed position. If you have young children around make sure they can't get to it unobserved.
