I have a friend that didn't use Rid-X (they haven't lived in an area with septic tanks very long) and had to have her septic tanks emptied ( can't remember the costs, but I do remember that it was a lot!!) We have had septic tanks in two houses totaling 37 years and in those years we have used Rid- X and we have never had our tanks emptied. I live in the country and have a septic system. Rid-X is easy to use and does a great job keeping the drainage system free and at a minimum.
