It was pretty easy to put together. However, it was defective when we got it fully put together. It was missing the top clear port and the connection part was broken. Which shouldn't be a issue, BUT the cats would jump in from the top and go splat into their.. well, you know.. mess. Originally, they wanted to offer me a $10 refund, which was unacceptable because it could not function The way it was supposed to. I was only asking for them to send a top piece to replace the broken and missing port. It's in my living room and I did not want it wide open like that. They ended up sending a whole new unit.
