Best OS Yet!!

I purchased Windows 7 Home Premium a week or so ago. I installed it on a Saturday. Had minimal issues with installation. The operating system is GREAT!!!! I am an old XP fan and hated to give up that system but I am so pleasantly surprised with the New Windows 7. If you are planning on an upgrade then WAIT NO LONGER, you'll love the new system. From the new User interface to all the new applications as well as native DVD and CD burning it is a real step up!! I am running an AMD Athlon 64 dual core processor with 4 G of Ram, NVidia 7300 Graphics card,500G Sata WD hard drive with onboard ALC 97 sound chip. The sound is even much much better!! I love this new OS. You will too!!!!

Windows 7, To Each Their Own

I have a Dell with XP, and I have a HP with 7. I really like 7 a whole lot better than the XP. It is way more up to date, has better features, and it is just a whole lot better all the way around. When I first got my HP with 7 on it, it was a little strange, and it took some getting used to, but after I got used to 7, I stored my Dell with the XP. The XP is almost out of date, and trying to get updates on it is next to impossible. I have used almost all of the Windows operating systems. Windows 98, 98 second, ME, 2000, XP and now the 7. I have never used the Vista, but I have heard about the good and bad with it. I haven't tried the newer 8 either, but as with 7, some like it and some don't. I prefer the 7, and so does my sister. My brother-in-law on the other hand, prefers the XP because he says the 7 is just too strange for him, so as the title states..."To Each Their Own" but I would recommend the 7 if a person wants a faster process and more options with ease of access, so I have to give the 7 the ultimate grade.

Windows 7, for real.

So, honestly? Windows 7 is a bit overhyped, but understandably so. Critics don't trust, and long-time fans always gush. However, I'll admit that I was really excited for it to come out. I never really had problems with Windows Vista, but wanted some of the great, new, and much-needed features Windows 7 was offering. It's a nice operating system. It's cleaner than it's predecessors, a bit zippier with daily tasks, and responds better to the things I "ask" it to do. I would definitely recommend 7 to anyone looking for a fresh start on their PC experience. Install was quick and painless (really, the complaints about backing up XP are ridiculous - ANY computer should be backed up regularly, which means that ANY computer should be ready for this install). The taskbar is fantastic, jumplists are definitely helpful, the new theme options are a delight, and lots of tiny tweaks to the interface, color schemes, and old and new tools make it a pleasure to use. So far, I also haven't run into any real computability issues with hardware or software designed when XP was in its prime. Overall, Windows 7 has been smooth sailing with a ton of small changes that add up to something big that looks - and feels - like we always thought Windows should. My only con? The price. I decided to go with only Home Premium (full edition) to get the full experience without destroying my bank account. But it does what I need it to, and should be able to do anything you need it to as well. I say go for it. After all, 7 is a pretty lucky number.

Win7 is here, and its here to stay.

This product is PERFECT. I would recommend it to anyone. Runs great on my new desktop computer. Great for anything you do really. Yeah, the prices are a bit high, but give it awhile and it'll soon become affordable. A++ This product was a good choice.

Keyzzzzcomputers

Very easy to down load. Just follow the on screen directions. Best price, speedy and safe delivery. I looked at a lot of web sites, but WalMart had the best price and S/H cost for the Premium. Windows has several Windows 7 to pick from as Up Grades. Be careful reading the title on the box. WalMart was the only site that made it clear between up-grade and full premium. You have to get the program (full premiun) before you can start up grading or adding to the program. I went from Windows Vista Basic to Windows 7 Premium. Windows is the best for home computing.

Great if you have 1 computer

No where does it say that the product key is only good for 1 computer, now days households have 2 or more computers and windows actually wants you to buy another product key for $200. After paying $200 I thought that it would take care of the whole house, but instead I was only allowed to restore mine. Take it from me, I have 4 HP computers, I went onto the site looked up my model number and there are recovery discs for $17 including shipping and handling. Check out your other options if you have more than one computer. This is by far the best product but most expensive out there. Ridiculous to have to pay for another product key :( No fault of Wal-Mart though.

7 or 8?

Tried Win 8 ... OK for a phone OS, if you want to touch a screen. What is MS thinking?! Already had one Win 7 license that is tied to the life of my Dell, but decided to get a full Win 7 version for the future (try getting a copy of Vista now!). It may be some time before MS can recover from this Win 8 disaster...get an OS that will last until then, imho.

Much Better

Easy to customize and runs smooth

Windows 8 is Great!!!

Windows 7 easy to navigate!!!Unlike Windows 8!! I bought Toshiba laptop for work use in Nov. '12 loaded w/ Windows 8.Terrible operating system!!!
