GREAT MOVIE

This is a great movie, my daughters and I have seen it dozens of times. Someone else posted in their review to watch the movie first, they are correct. If they made the movie exactly by the book, it would be over 5 hours long! Anyway, the second disc is amazing, but the movie was my favorite part.

Like most of you out there I've read the books and love them! Obviously it's hard for a movie to live up to a great book. And as most books-made-into-movies, it's hard to fit such an indebth story into two hours. So yes there was some parts that could have been done better (ex:meadow scene and him revealing himself as sparkly man) and yes their relationship had to be rushed. But all in all if you're a dedicated twilight fan you'll probably love the movie. I love Twilight and am going to go pre order right now! P.S. There are certain people that need to give Kristen Stewart (Bella) a break! We all picture characters differently and let's be honest we're jealous to not be in her place. It's gotta be hard to live up to such high expectations from fans. She did a pretty good job. The other characters were an excellent casting choice.

OMG! I never read the book before I saw this movie and I must say I loved the movie so much that when I recieved the entire books series for Christmas I read all 4 books in 4 days.....I was hooked and still am. I think that any movie based on a book is going to be somewhat different because you dont have all the time to spend copying it word for word. I thought they did a great job fitting the entire book into 2 hours. I must agree that Robert Pattinson is the hottest vampire I have ever seen! lol. I recommend this movie to everyone. It has everything you need to keep you glued to your seat. CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE! (Supposably it is going to be released in late November, early December!!!)

So one of the past reviews was chastising the director's choice of Kristen Stewart for Bella and said (eh hm) Ellen Page would have been a better fit. I have to disagree!!!! I think Kristen Stewart did a phenomenal job and when you read the last book you would know that Ellen Page as a vampire just would NOT fit...they have to be beautiful! Ellen Page would have been way too awkward! Anyways, everyone knows that 99% of the time the book is always going to be better but I think that the cast, crew, production etc did a great job in truly capturing the essence of the book. Sure it didn't include every detail but I think they still did a great job transferring the book onto screen. I can't wait to see New Moon because Stephanie Meyer made Bella's pain so real and really made the reader feel it him/herself (even if it was over a character that could only exist in a completely fictional world). I think that its going to be quite the task getting an audience of VIEWERS!to feel the same pain.

I love the Twilight Saga and have read all four books four times. I did not think the movie lived up to all the hype and would rate the books as far superior. That said, I've also seen the movie four times. I agree with another review that the movie does a very poor job of establishing the depth of the relationship between Bella and Edward and I also couldn't agree more that Kristin Stewart as Bella was a lousy choice. Stephenie Meyer's Bella and the film's Bella seem to be two different people. (I think perhaps Ellen Page from Juno may have been a better fit). However, Rob Pattinson as Edward works flawlessly. The stunts are pretty second rate but I guess you can only do so much with such a small budget. Overall, I look forward to seeing the film again and especially the special features on Disc Two. I only hope that the addition of a new director and a little experience on the part of "certain" cast members will make the sequel something worth seeing.

Can't wait for the movie to come out! I've watched it a few times and just started with the book. Any ideas on a Twilight themed party? I've got a ton of girlfriends that love the movie as well so I think it'll be tons of fun to have a screening party at home!

  • A. We are lucky enough to live in Oregon, so for her birthday, my daughter has decided to do a Twilight Tour. She's going to invite some friends and I'm going to drive around and take them to all the local filming locations. We're going to visit the alley, the dress shop, the restaurant where Edward took Bella for dinner, the prom location, the cafe where Bella and Charlie ate and even Bella's house. We're going to decorate the van and play the soundtrack on the drive and play some trivia as well to keep occupied on the drive around the area. When we're gone, we're going to have a screening of the movie, food and cake followed by a sleepover under the giant Edward poster in my daughter's room. My adult girlfriends are even trying to get an invite!

  • A. I'm throwing a Twilight release party for my daughter and her friends. We're decorating the table Alice style with a black table cloth, red plates, forks only (for Forks Washington), white Christmas lights. and plenty of apples. For the menu, we will be serving mushroom ravioli (the Cullen's made it for Bella when she went to their house) spaghetti, garlic bread, salad. For dessert I will make red velvet cupcakes, and werewolf kibble (I found the recipe online). After dinner, they will rest while listening to the Twilight soundtrack. We will head over to Wal Mart to pick up the DVD at 12:01 for the girls.

  • A. Ok like you I have alot of twilight friends and have wanted to throw a themed party...me personally I would of course show the movie, have trivia ( questions about the book, movie, characters etc) and maybe have a prize for the winner something small but cute like vampire vangs, or twilight earings or a twilight button( which you can find at hottopic.com) and if you wanna be creative you can make a cake or cupcakes(for dessert) and get a bunch of different colored frosting and decorate them twilight themed (like team edward, team jacob, books cover(s) etc..) my freinds and i did that and had a blast seeing what we all came up with....I hope this was helpful to you

  • A. I just had a birthday party for my daughter last month. Here is what I did. I hung white christmas lights up all around the room. I had some leftover checkered flag table cover that was perfect, being black and white. We put all four of the books on the table, I wrapped up red and white candies in some black Tule with red ribbons and placed those all over the table. I typed up movie quotes and glued them on black card stock and we punched holes in them and tied red ribbons and taped the quotes all over the walls. I had white roses with a single red one in the middle for the centerpiece. Bought some red, black and white plates & napkins. Had red apples also placed all over the table. And of course the usual, red, black and white streamers. We also hung pictures from her magazines and her twilight posters all over the walls. It was absolutely awesome and my daughter and her friends thought it was the coolest. I typed up invitations, using the movie line, how old are you, 13, how long have you been 13 etc... I asked all of the girls to wear their favorite twilight stuff and if they didn't have any to sport the colors. We also sprayed each girl with glitter as they walked in, so we all sparkled like Edward. For those of you with younger girls, this was a huge hit! just wish we could have had the movie to watch, that was all that was missing.

  • A. Im having a Twilight party! I went to Giant Eagle and got the "heart candies" but they are twilight themed. They say words like bite me, lamb, live forever etc. You get the idea. Then Im making sugar cookies in the shape of an apple and writing "Twilight" on them. Im hanging up create paper and balloons that are black and red just like the book cover. Im getting a Twilight shirt to wear. I think they might be selling them in walmart now. Im also going to have red apples out for the guests to eat. I hope this helps. Have great parties everyone!!!! Go TEAM EDWARD!!!! :)
