to toss that knit hat to the wind and set your hair free from winter?
Whether you are sleek and modern or an organic wild flower, these four
hairstyles will help you bloom into spring's most popular looks.
This low-fuss siren look is a knockout. Before bed, moisturize damp hair with a leave-in conditioner or curl-boosting mousse. Part hair down the center; divide into several sections and braid, securing ends with elastic bands. Leave in overnight. Carefully release braids with your fingers—maintaining your center part—and tousle with product that provides a light hold and shine. Finish with a lightweight hold hair spray.
Get ready to upgrade your ponytail. Blow-dry and flatiron clean hair. Work hair styling oil into the bristles of a natural brush. Part your hair on the side, and use the brush to sweep hair away from the part into a low side ponytail. Keep it bound tight for a sleeker look, or wiggle it back and forth at the base by the hairband for a looser feel. Finish with flexible hold hair spray only on the hair close to your head.
Brush a high shine styling cream into your hair. Starting above one temple, make a loose French braid that follows your hairline toward the opposite temple and down the side of your head. Secure the end of the side braid, and either wear it down or wrap it around the base of your head, securing with pins. For a bohemian boost, weave ribbon into your braid or garnish with tiny floral hairpins.
For a wispy bob or pixie: Blast hair with a dryer, rub hair wax between palms and rake your fingers through for a bed-head look. To finish, hold fingers at scalp, and spritz a volumizing spray just at the roots for height. For a totally different look, slick hair back with a middle or side part using a lasting hold styling gel. Finish with extra hold hair spray.
