For those who own a Blu-ray player, The Adventures of Robin Hood, starring Errol Flynn and a marvelous cast, is a film buff's treasure. This Technicolor movie was the number one box office draw in 1938. The brilliant color rendering is all the more enhanced by the Blu-ray process.
This DVD includes a myriad of "extras", including a documentary outlining the development of color use in movies and the significant role this classic swashbuckler had. [If one were to quibble, the vast array of choices given in the menu are at first confusing, but provide many hours of film history and entertainment.]
In terms of value, this is a great bargain and should be in the collection of any classic film aficionado.
All of these titles have been shown on TV but Rocky Mountain only once that I know of - and it's quite different for Flynn, co-starring \"Big Boy\" Williams, Sheb Wooley, Slim Pickins & Patrice Wymore (Mrs. Flynn). Great horsemanship from Pickins and the other stuntmen and a story you won't soon forget based on a true incident. With shorts, cartoons, newslreels, etc. it's just like being at the movies like it used to be. These are great movies and at a great price. Don't pass 'em up!
