Perfect for Tail-gating. I purchased the Weber based on the construction, reputation and warranty. The grill is perfect for Tail-gating, small and easy to assemble and clean. Cooks up 4 steaks or 8 hamburgers and 8 hotdogs. This grill has it has a great drip pan and easily wipes down after use with paper towels. Starts easily, handles wind well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great value. Will probably use it this winter over our main grill at home.
Switched back to charcoal. This grill does a great job. Bottom vents were redesigned from the old style and are super easy to adjust. When I'm done grilling it can be sealed off tight enough to go out, saving a ton of charcoal. We are a family of 6 and it does a great job.
We've been though many a grill - big and small. None last for any amount of time. When you spend several hundred dollars, you expect to get many more years of use, but that is not always the case. With this little grill, we get portability as well as durability. Our friends have the same grill, and it has been in use for several years. We will expect to get that much from this grill. So far, our initial expectations have been met.
I am joining the masses and giving this grill a 5 Star Rating!!\nIt was super easy to put together, and I got it on Summer Clearance for $180!!!\nWE LOVE IT!!\nIt grills food to perfection, and doesn't have all of the extras that you don't really use anyway!
This was a \"ship to store\" purchase I made nearly three weeks ago . . . it has still not arrived! It is not right that my credit card was hit for this purchase before I received the merchandise. I will never do an online purchase with Walmart again!
I just bought a replacement for my first Smokey Joe Gold, the other is still cooking for me, but after 23 years the charcoal grate in the bottom has disintrgrated and it was just time to go with a new one. The reason I bought the Gold over Silver is it has the lid keeper\/holder so that you can adjust and hold the lid to body opening allowing better temperature control while cooking--the silver unit doesn't have that benefit. It's large enough to cook 4-5 1\/3 pound burgers, 2 full size T-bones and 3-4 good sized ribeyes at one time. One last point, when you're done cooking it closes up and secires the lid and handle allowing you to shut down the coals and still have a base to start up the next time--thus it's charcoal economical. You just add a few more briquets when you begin the next time. I love this grill, but do wish they'd go back to the wooden handle, the pvc one heats up when you are dampening the temperature control with the lid.
I received and used this grill for the first time . I was surprised and happy with the way this item performed .....they really got this one right, and I highly recommend the grill to all who have the need for a fine addition to their outdoor cooking experience....... thanks
I have always used weber products,i guess im addicticted to them. I own a smokey joe gold and the silver one touch, but had to have the jumbo joe.We used it this evening and as always weber quality and walmart service.once you back off gas grills, you too will find weber products long lasting and wonderful to grill with.
I was intimidated by the number of parts shown in the instructions but it only took a couple of hours to put this item together. Doing so was helpful as I now know the function and location of each feature of this grill. This is a second grill, the previous one 3 years old now and performing well at another location. Good value but unfortunately not on sale through any vendor I could locate.
Assembly requires 2 people, but is fairly easy and you can have it done in less than 2 hours. This grill heats up to 700 degrees with ease. It cooks evenly and accurately. It is heavy and sturdy. I would say it is the best grill I have owned. This Weber may cost a little more, but it is worth every penny. Can't wait to cook out on it all summer. Already cooked steaks, salmon, corn on the cob, hot dogs and brats on it and all has been great.
Iv'e had my Weber 3 burner grill for over 15 years now. It stays on my screened in back porch and covered a lot of the time, but not always. The bottom of the grill slides out for easy cleaning and the cast iron grill grates retain heat to make those nice grill marks on whatever you are cooking. The flavorizer bars cover the burners to protect them from the drippings which makes them last a long time. When the drippings hit the flavorizer bars they turn to smoke and makes your food taste great. Weber makes a fine product and if you keep it clean it will last you a good long time.
I was disappointed in the product or reasons that should not be. The assembly of the grill was made much more difficult because the directions did not fully reflect the hardware that was contained in the box. The directions appeared to be for a different model, similar but not the same for my grill. Also, was missing several fasteners. For example, no screw for the handle to to lid. The assembly took much longer than it should have. Do not know if this is typical, I hope not, or just a lack of quality control on Webers part. Have not tried out the grill as of yet.
