Headsets can go for $200, so one that works great for $50 is fantastic. My teenage son only wanted Turtle Beach products. He said Turtle Beach is the best. He said he loves this set and even gave me a kiss on the cheek. He said they are great and maybe I should get another one for his friends who come over for gaming. That ain't happening.
I use this headset while playing mmo's, and must say that I found the sound quality and the performance of the microphone adequate. The headset is NOT sturdy however, and within 6 weeks the headband (the piece that connects the 2 earphones) was cracked. This is far from the most expensive headset around, but for the money I was expecting a more solid, dependable product. I would absolutely not recommend this.

What our shoppers say:
Disapointed.
At first, I was really excited to get a wireless gaming headset. After about a week I ran into some audio issues with the headset. Also, the headsets don't always work well with rechargeable batteries....which didnt excite me. Turtle beach has a 1yr warranty policy, fyi.\n\nIve had a wired set for about 3 years now....that are starting to fall apart. I still use them every day instead of the x32s.\nTo anyone who is considering buying these. Just get the wired headset, they are 100% more reliable and the quality is the same if not better.
I'm a pretty average gamer, i looked at the revaiews for this, saw some bad ones, thought it would be fine, it wasnt. i bought it i used it for a while it worked entirely fine, went to go put out the trash and talk to some people, came back, the entire right speaker does not work. I'm gonna take this back and get a Razer - Tiamat Expert 2.2 headset. Do not waste you time with this headset
Hello, my name is Luke and I play playstation 3 almost every day. To tell you the truth about this product, it sound great and works very well for the first few months but after a while the spreakers stop working and they get fuzzy and the cord becomes lose and changes the preformance of the speakers. At times the whole right speaker goes quiet. I am now on my third pair and I went back to the store to return it and they said I had to call turtle beaches phone number and send it back to them and they would send me a new one, while this agrivated me I said ok and I called turtal beaches phone number and got nothing but a machine that couldnt understand what I was saying. So now I am stuck with a broken pair of PX 21's that nobody will take back. I had even bought a 2 year warenty from walmart and they wouldnt take it. So I do not recomend you buy this product and I recomend you do not buy anything from walmart that you would have to buy a warenty for because you might get screwed over like me.
The XC1 is a very good headset. You can hear the people you are talking to crisp and clear. It comes with volume control and mute\/on switch... I had it for about half a year working perfectly fine and then one day I couldn't hear the people i was trying to talk to in the headset i could only hear them through the tv. However they could still hear me perfectly fine, which wasn't a problem but if you are a Halo player like myself and this happens to you then you are in a predicament because the volume is to loud and whatnot from Halo in order to hear your friends and it gets to be a hassle. Now i still use the headset and i just play COD and it works perfectly fine, i can hear my friends and the game through the tv. That is the only negative thing i have to say about this headset is that after awhile things like that will happen and its just because it's a good headset but its cheap and i wouldn't recommend making it a permanent decision. I would suggest a pair of Turtle Beach's that cost around 50 dollars or higher then you would be insured that it would last as long as you need it to.\nOverall I suggest you buy this headset.
PROS: This headset is stylish and for the price seemed like a good deal. Plugged them in and was ready to go. Sound was very good, deep bass, voice, music, and sound effects were all excellent. Ear cups were soft and very comfortable. The mic was adjustable and others I chatted with told me I sounded great.\n\nCONS: I owned this headset only 3 days and noticed the plastic size adjustment slider above the left ear cup was cracking. On the next day I noticed the crack was becoming larger. I promptly returned the headset for a refund.
The headphones themselves are the same as the px5 or x41 there is just no bluetooth like PX5 or Dolby 5.1\/7.1 like x41 or px5.\n\nTHIS IS SOLVED EASILY. These are surround sound headphones. You just need a Dolby 5.1\/7.1 processor to decode it.\n\nIf you use the Aux 3.5mm jack on the wireless transmitter and connect to a headphones jack on a High-end A\/V receiver. It will decode and process what ever signal the receiver is rated for. I have a Yamaha HTR-5730. Dolby 5.1\/7.1 and DSP surround sound, sound awesome through these headphones.
This was exactly what my son needed to connect his headset\/microphone into the computer and have dual sound and capability. He is very pleased. Walmart sent this to us in a shorter amount of time than expected and the price was good and the shipping costs low. Thanks Walmart!
I bought these for my nephew for his birthday. He is a huge gamer on his PS3 and his friend had these exact headphones but had paid a lot more! Looked on Amazon (my go to for most things) and they were a lot more money plus shipping. Walmart's \"Site to Store\" is the greatest, if they don't stock them in your local store, you can just browse the web and have them sent, you don't have to go from store to store to try and find them. Fabulous! Anything that makes shopping easier is great for me.

great sound quality...
turtlebeach has a great sound quality but are not very durable for everyday use. purchased the extended plan good thing we did product broke within a month of purchase. would not buy these again seeing as this is the 3rd time we have had to replace them and the same problem is occuring when the game play screaches and then goes out.
I understand that Turtle Beach makes some amazing headsets. But this one will fulfill all of your basic and advanced needs. They sound fantastic. Setup is a breeze. And they're very ergonomic. Don't buy a $200 set. Spend that on a graphics card for your PC. Buy these.

Excellent sound and comfortable
I bought this item as a gift and have used them myself. They have excellent sound, makes you feel as if you're really in the environment! Set-up only looks time consuming, but isn't! Very easy! I had the wiring plugged in far less than a minute. And the settings were easy to do also. Nice to have a plugged in set (no batteries to have to keep buying like wireless). The options that you have for the different useage is great! And those are easy to change whenever you wish or if someone else uses them. They are comfortable to wear too! These improved our gaming experience, you hear things you never heard before, and all the sounds, no matter what they are, all sound true to life. These are well worth buying, great price also! They arrived fast and in great shape! Now I will order my own!
This is my second set of Turtle Beach headphones and I must say that they have made some serious improvements upon my old stereo pair. The surround sound is great and seems to be pretty accurate. I purchased this particular pair since it is dual band, yet there is still a slight amount of static heard which I have been unable to eliminate. Overall, a good set of cans for the money, the Bluetooth feature is awesome.

Product works
Sound went out on my very old computer. Downloaded numerous drivers, bought two internal sound cards and still had no sound. Was looking to put out money on a new computer-an expense I really did not want. Got this as a last resort and very glad I did. I had sound again. Felt stupid I did not make this move sooner. For my needs it is an excellent buy.

Better headphones available at cheaper cost.
I've purchased numerous 'pro gaming' headphones over the past couple months, to review and find which would be best for me. These headphones come with a cool little EQ pad that allows you to adjust EQ. I found that once you find the one you like best you never touch the pad again. The headphones themselves were durable though a little heavier than others in it's price genre. They didn't extend as large as I would have liked, and got quite heavy on my ears after a short hour or so of game play.\n\nAll in all, sure I'd recommend them, they sound great. However, if you're going to spend $270+ on headphones I'd suggest Astro A40's. I've tried the best of the best, and Astro has the best sound, and are the most comfortable.
