I bought these to freeze greens in for our morning smoothies. I needed BPA free with a lid and these were really all I could find. Ugh. I didn't read reviews before I went to the store because I was actually planning to get the Fresh Starts ones at Babies R Us but they don't carry them anymore. So I ran into Walmart to see what they had and this was it. Bad idea.\nI froze greens overnight and tried to get them out this morning. The trays do not twist from side to side like a regular ice tray. That's what normally helps release ice cubes. It took a steak knife and a measuring cup to chisel them out. But even that didn't really work. After chiseling away at the sides of the cubes a little bit, all while worrying I was going to puncture the tray, I still had to flip the tray over and bang the caca out of it to get the cubes to release. It took about 20 minutes for 2 trays. The other 2 tray are still loaded in the freezer. I'm not sure when I will have time to try to get them out! My sister suggested that I spray the trays with Pam next time to see if that will help with releasing the cubes. Maybe I will try coconut oil.
I am using the freezer pops for home made fruit sauces and freeze them in the fridze for around 1 hr. Kids really enjoy the pops compared to the regular fruit sauces. Pops have easy to hold grips which helps toddlers to handle it easily.
These absolutely do not leak never had any problems with them, Although I have had 1 out of the 7 I own get a little water in the insulated part when im washing them but its no big deal. I would for sure get these if you want a spill proof leak proof cup for your little one.
