I've always wanted \"A Few Good Men\" for my movie collection. I was able to get it for a terrific price and free Site to Store Shipping from Walmart. I no longer have to wait for it to come on the cable to enjoy it. Now I can watch it whenever I want and as many times as I want.
this is one of my all time movies that has beautiful scenery and cultural insights, but it is\na 2 disc movies that has extra features on the second disc. This second disc was not with\nmy video. Would not recommend this to any one. Think I missed out on a lot of amazing\nscenery.
THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE FIRST ONE WHICH I TOTALLY LOVED COURSE TOM CRUISE, WHO COULD ARGUE HE ISN'T MR. WONDRFUL AS AN ACTOR. BUT MR. HOWELL DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE ACTING ABILITY NOR IS HE EVEN BELIEVEABLE. MOVIE CONTENT A BIG 2. MEETS WHAT I EXPECTED - NO WAY! SORRY THIS IS NOT A GOOD REVIEW FOR THIS MOVIE.THE ALIENS WERE THE ONLY THING THAT WAS TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL MOVIE, NO SURPRISE HERE.
One of the all-time best Sci-Fi movies that raised the bar for adventure-horror movies. This was made back when foul language and nudity was not necessary to entertain the movie goers. In my opinion it is also a pre-requisite to watch before seeing the 2005 remake with Tom Cruise. For a 1953 production, the special effects are amazing. The surface topic of the movie deals with alien invasion, but the salvation linked to the humanity of that era is founded on the American values of the day. Faith in God and moral values. Very enjoyable!
If you do not like sci-fi movies with a substantial amount of computer graphics, avoid this movie. With that caveat out of the way, Minority Report is a good movie. The beginning seemed somewhat languid to me. I am glad I finished the movie, though, because several twists came up later that made it worthwhile. A couple of these twists I predicted, but they were typically followed by another twist I did not see coming. Yes, it is a long movie, but the second half is better.
There is a recognizable ordinariness about the way these people stumble in and out of trouble, in and out of grace -- an ambiguous note, at once tart and sweet, knowing and innocent, in their relationships.
