I hunted amazon, nextag, etc, and Walmart seems to have the best price on PC version of this game. Was a birthday gift, so not sure how he likes game since he's tried it out, but it was reviewed VERY well on all the gaming sites, and graphics look steampunky and uber-snazzy. He was thrilled to get it as a gift. If you're NOT a gamer, like me, and looking for a gift for a gamer, this is a good choice.
This game has a beautiful action packed adventure throughout. Decent story. Interesting graphics. Lots and lots of really cool blood and gore that is way over the top. Beautiful violence. If your a fan of action games, do not miss this one. It will blow your mind. A MUST HAVE!!
Bioshock Infinite is a well crafted and gorgeous game. I played the original Bioshock which creeped me out with its haunting atmosphere... Infinite has a slightly different tone and it never got too nerve racking... which I liked.\n\nGraphics are wow... just wow. Anywhere you look is like a beautiful painting. The environment is very unique and you can tell that the artists wanted you to look at it with literal \"Sight Seeing\" points throughout the game. Doesn't disappoint.\n\nGameplay offers many weapons and \"tonics\" which give you special abilities. They're pretty fun to play around with and each ability has two uses, generally a short range vs long range, or a single shot vs bomb types. Using your abilities in tandem will also create some neat effects, which again is fun to experiment with as you take down your enemies. Also, you'll have a companion, Elizabeth. I wont spoil why she's there or even who she is, but she helps you along your way by collecting ammo and money for you. She also offers a unique ability that I also don't want to spoil, but it's pretty neat.\n\nPart of the reason I gave this game 4 stars and not 5 is simply the repetitiveness of the game... Generally you go from beautiful environment to beautiful environment, mow down the enemies in the area and then scavenge for supplies. Rinse, repeat. True, some of the battles take place in neat locations, and I especially like the battles where you hook onto zipline-like rails that let you get away fast and then come back in with guns a blazing. There were a couple \"boss\" type battles which livened things up a bit as well, so maybe I'm being too harsh, but the overall feeling I got was that I was doing much of the same things over and over again til I got to the end.\n\nStory was great and touches on many racial and religious themes... BUT I wish it told more of the story through the actions I took in the game. Much of the story is told through \"Voxophones\" which gave an enormous amount of backstory, but were simply audio recordings. I just wish they didn't simply tell me about the world, but instead showed it to me. I realize that's hard to do, but the entire game was basically a big mystery and you really didn't get much new information throughout much of the game... it wasn't until the very end cinematic where they spill the beans and tell you everything. It's an amazing ending in that regard and was not disappointing at all, but I wish more of the story was unraveled during the game.\n\nOverall, a great game. Well crafted and a joy to wander about. Honestly, the ending alone is worth any negative points I mentioned. You can tell a lot of care went into making this game. I'd definitely recommend it, just be sure to listen to as many Voxophones as you can because I think you'll get more out of the story that way.
The detail that was put into this game is impressive; everything from the graphics to the game play is well done. Each enemy has a unique set of strengths and weaknesses that allow the player to use different strategies in the game. The art in this game is beautiful, and the game has a surprisingly engaging story.\n\nOverall, a very fun and well-designed game!
I received this product and it exceeded my expectations. The product was in very excellent quality when I received it. It was delivered on the date it was expected. Not only was this product in great shape when I recieved it, it turned out to be an excellent game also. Very pleased with Walmart online. Will be purchasing more products soon.
I ordered this game along with my new ps3 console and it came, however with no game inside the case. I bought it online so I don't know who to contact or what to do to get my money back or to get the game that I paid for...gave up trying. It was a gift to my boyfriend and when he opened the game case with no game inside it kind of ruined the mood. Rip off.
