I ordered two different books and received one but not the Hunger Games Trilogy!!! I have tried repeatedly to contact Walmart and because the Fed X people said I received it they will do nothing!! I have ordered numerous things from Walmart and this is a first!! Yes, they did charge my account for the box set !!
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a novel written for young adults. I can certainly see why the novel was such a hit. The novel struck many themes like: survival, love, work, poverty and many more. It was easy and quick to read and it was full of action which made the novel so exciting. The constant suspense that goes on in the novel makes the reader to turn page after page. What I liked about the book was that the protagonist was a girl that carried a bow and arrow. I recommend this book to people who have an open mind to what the world could come to. I mean this book really puts one to think on how crazy it'll get if the world were to try surviving in a world like in the Hunger Games. I think that this book should be taught in schools rather than those old boring books that no one really cares about. The Hunger Games will make students enjoy what they are being taught. I say this because its a book that is worth your time. To be honest, ill say that the first two chapters are "boring" (not full of action), but from there on the book keeps on getting better and it causes the reader to keep reading without realizing that one is all into it.
I never received the book from Walmart. After 11 days waiting for my book, all I received was an email saying that my order was going to be delayed. The worst customer service ever!!! Don't waste your time with Walmart.
I loved this book!!!! I was into the plot I read it all in one day:) I have to wait till I can get Mockingjay to complete my collection and see what happens to Katniss and Peeta and the Capitol and Gale and everyone:)
When I first heard of the Hunger Games, I had no interest at all. I wasn't like most bandwagoners that automatically tagged along with the book and eventually the movie. I starting reading the first book, just becuase of an indepedent reading project I was assigned in my english class. I ended up enjoying it and I got with the Hunger Games flow. As my final independent reading project, I decided to choose the second book, Catching Fire becuase of my experience with the first book.\nIn Catching Fire, Suzanne gives you a different aspect of Hunger Games, and Pamen. After Victors, Katniss and Peeta return back home, they belive that chaos is over, and that the games are done for now. The next obstacles they face are the threats announced by President Snow. You have a different seat in all the action, no longer on the Hunger Games fields, but in the districts. Catching Fire is packed with suspense and action, and a bit of romance confusion. At the end, you'll always find yourself at the edge of your seat, waiting to turn to the next page of this incredible adventure.\nI would definitely recommend this book to anyone interest in fiction, fantasy, or anyone who has the Hunger Games crave. I would also highly recommend reading the book series before watching the movie, and the upcoming one for the second book. I am looking forward into reading the third and final book, MockingJay.
I bought it for a gift for my daughter who is crazy about Hunger games series, and I read it too and really enjoyed them. We could not put it down and had to purchase next two books in series to see what happens next.
This is a great series and the price was the best that I found. I always get fast shipping from Walmart. Even using the standard shipping I always get my orders in "1 day or 2", at the most.
Anyway this is a gift for my granddaughter that we are reading together !
