I thought this was a great accessory for my Samsung television.\nThis is an awesome setup, the look is very sleek and had chrome on it.\nVery easy to setup, optional ways to setup.\nUnfortunately I found that it frustrating that I could not control the volume!\nThe reason my tv did not have [[variable sound.]]\nWill not work with Xbox! BAD VERY BAD\nWILL NOT WORK WELL WITHOUT VARIABLE SOUND!
I give these 5 stars because they are an excellent value for the price. They sound very good but not outstanding. That is not a knock, though, when considering the reasonably low price. They lack a crisp high and crisp midrange, but overall sound very good. I am not aware of anything that would be better for this price range. Overall, I am very satisfied. I cannot speak to their longevity, obviously, since I have only owned them for a short time.\n\nI actually auditioned a number of multimedia speakers recently in my own home, using the same songs, same PC, same desktop location, etc. The models were this set of HF1800A, plus a cheaper set of Genius SP-HF800A, plus the Bose Companion 2, and Klipsch Promedia 2.1. In my opinion, these HF1800A sounded the best and were definitely the best value.\n\nThis set also feels like it has good build quality -- they have some real weight to them, and they are larger than you think.
