Undoubtedly one of the best films of the 1990s, and probably one of the best directorial debuts of all time, Reservoir Dogs announced the arrival of one of contemporary cinema's hottest talents -- and he came out shooting.
Tarantino, in Reservoir Dogs, has made a nihilist comedy about how human nature will always undercut the best-laid plans. |

Great price and fast arrival from site to store.Excessive in some places
I enjoyed Reservoir Dogs. I think the overall story is good, and I like the ending. What I do not like is the torture scene, and some of the dialogue is quite vulgar. I am not talking about swearing, of which there is plenty, but the actual content of some of the conversations. If you can get past these items, this is a good movie.

My husband loves this movie and wanted it for Christmas. Having never seen it I got online and read a few reviews. I was skeptical because some reviewers didn't like it but I got it for my husband anyway since he loves it and raves about it all the time.\n\nWe watched it Christmas night and I am still blown away by this movie. I do NOT know what other reviewers are talking about. This is a movie with a very controversial subject so I can only assume the other reviewers' beliefs are the opposite of the message this movie is trying to get across. I know I'd probably give a negative review on a movie or book that was controversial and against my own beliefs simply for that fact. I'm so glad I didn't take their reviews to heart and pass up on this movie. It is one of my new favorites!\n\nAll in all it is definitely worth purchasing and watching. It is one of those movies that sticks with you long after the credits roll. The acting is superb; both Ewan and Scarlett do an amazing job. It is action-packed with a tad bit of love mixed in to keep men and women alike enthralled with the unraveling mysteries.\n\nI am the person that always figures out the plot and ending of shows and movies long before a whole lot has happened. But this is one movie that I couldn't figure out what was going to happen until the scene was unfolding before my eyes. I think that that in itself also made it an amazing movie. Very suspenseful, controversial, full of action and really amazing visual effects.

A fog of by-the-numbers clichs, unbelievable coincidences, and blatant theft from Hitchcock.
It's dire, unimaginative silliness. |

A top draw adaptation of a cracking comic-book.
By sharp turns poignant, disturbing and hysterically funny. |

It is a tale of a true hero, even if in its minor details it's less than entirely true. For a movie with ambitions as big as "John Rabe," that doesn't just make it good. That makes it epic.
Thanks to Tukur, what we get here is still something: a stunning portrait of a good man caught in a widening inferno. |

Rodriguez's second feature may be a rambling, derivative exercise in gratuitous violence, but its determination to proceed as if the word 'restraint' never existed makes for gleeful entertainment.
Mr. Rodriguez may be good enough to make a film about anything, but Desperado would collapse if its characters had to do anything but play with guns. |
