Undoubtedly one of the best films of the 1990s, and probably one of the best directorial debuts of all time, Reservoir Dogs announced the arrival of one of contemporary cinema's hottest talents -- and he came out shooting.
I enjoyed Reservoir Dogs. I think the overall story is good, and I like the ending. What I do not like is the torture scene, and some of the dialogue is quite vulgar. I am not talking about swearing, of which there is plenty, but the actual content of some of the conversations. If you can get past these items, this is a good movie.
I was disappointed in Reservoir Dogs. The movie was nothing more than an adventure into sarcastic and masculine behavior which, for the most part, took place in one room. The dialogue between the characters was nonsensical and over the top noisome and foul. This film was abounding in poor dialogue, acting, directing, editing and lack of realism with respect to the blood scenes. Reservoir Dogs appeared inexpensive and inept. I disposed of my copy.
