As the years go on King becomes more and more political but he did take jabs at both sides of the political aisle while adding some real history to the plot in many cases. As you read this you wonder how he will make the time travel work, how it works when he gets there, and what will happen on that infamous day, which makes you read faster and faster! But with a book that size it can take a while.\nThe ending is great because you do not expect what happens especially with King's political views. But as my title says its a very good nail biting beat the odds and the clock story. At the end he talks about his research, his thoughts on who done it and conspiracies, music in the novel, and even has recipes from the time period. And one of the best facts of the book was knowing his first attempt at the book was in 1972 when he didn't have the time to research the background so he put it on the back burner for years. A very good read!
I just bought it this morning. I think it will be a really good book if it dont turn to the alien junk he is so fond of. The book was priced at 23.97 at my local walmart after tax the total was 26.19. I dont know how some got it for 8.98 including shipping they must live on a different planet than the rest of us, or are just not telling the truth. shame on you!
Boook was damaged- cover bent, pages dogearred!! Walmart did a poor job packaging this book- it was a gift and I will have to return this and go somewhere else to purchase- Walmart needs to do better!!! Very unhappy!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book was great.I would have liked even more if it was longer, but I still loved it.I also liked the ending better than the movie's(still I loved themovie too). This book is perfect if you like suppernatural books.Stephen King did an awsome job!
I , like so many people ,love Stephen King's books. But I was a little hestitant to buy this one because it just didn't sound like his usual type of novel. I was right-it wasn't his usual type of novel, but it was still absolutely wonderful. More character developement than any book of his that i've ever read -and it was still scary in it's own way. If you love King, read this book. There really are no limits to his talent as an author. I was truly blown away.
