Cat scratching mat
My cat doesn't recognize this item as something to use to work his claws. I put it right over the spot on my mattress where he likes to scratch, but he just goes around it. My mattress is coming apart, but no matter what I do, he still goes there instead of this scratch mat!
A stylish new twist on the traditional floor scratcher!
What our shoppers say:
My cat loves this scratcher
I have used the cardboard ones and my cat loves those, but they make a big mess, so I tried this one and my cat loved it. The curvy seisel kept his interest and claws in shape though not as filed down as I would like. I can say I got another one recently that has colors. The beige on my cat wore out and the colored one is just not as interesting to my cat. This a great product, keeps my cat's interest and my furniture scratch free, a sure fire win.
The refill did not fit my scratcher but it was my fault. Even though it did not fit in the holder it did set nicely on the floor so my cat can use it and he does. The item came earlier then expected and I had no problems picking it up at the store.
my adult cat really went after this fish. Cat nit is minimal, but I keep a bag of it around and rubbed nip onto fish for a fresher scent. It's made out of thick cotton duck cloth. The crinkle inside the fish is sufficently loud enough to get cat's attention.
My cats loved this post, but as the other reviewers have stated it doesn't last. Yes, it is only $20, but it should last longer than a month. I have used the base with a replacement sisal post which seems to be much more durable. Might be okay if you only have one cat. Base is pretty sturdy, so it can be used with other more durable posts.
I bought this for my 12 week old Siberian kitten, so I did not use the catnip. He certainly enjoys it, but it has a couple issues that bothered me. First off, the way it is rolled in the package creates two crimps in the mat. For a week and a half, I used 2 heavy books to roll back so I could flatten it out. This worked to some extent, but it still does not lie flat. Secondly, my kitten loved the little feather clip on toy, but it practically falls out of the holder. Took my kitten about 5 seconds to pop it out and get it stuck under the sofa. So, while my kitten likes to scratch the mat, it won't lie flat and the toy does not stay in the holder. It wasn't terribly expensive, which is the only reason I gave it an \"average\" versus \"fair\" review.
Me and my boyfriend brought this toy for our new cat who is currently only about 15weeks old. As soon as we pulled it apart from the package she was all over it.\n\nOne of them only lasted a few days. She pulled off the feathers and pulled out the stuffing, but the other one is still going strong and she's play with it as I write this review. The feather are still on it and the stuffing is still in it. Maybe the other one was just made poorly. I don't know. But I'll be buying another one pretty soon.
I wasn't sure how my cat would respond to this catnip toy. Let me just tell you, he LOVES it!!! He plays w\/ it and ends up licking it. I will bat it around to get him to play. Good investment.\nToo bad I broke it, it was near the door and didn't notice when I opened it, crushed this in half. I saved it and hope he still plays w\/ it. Get one and let the fun begin! Going to purchase a new for him.
