I wanted to get an extra bathing suit to bring on an upcoming vacation without breaking the bank. This suit fits the bill! I am generally a 14\/16 so I ordered the XL. There is a little bit of extra room in the leg openings, but other than that it fits really well. The runching is figure flattering and the top of the suit is a perfect fit for my chest without looking like I am spilling over the top ( 42C is my bra size). The material isn't the greatest, but for the price I can't complain. Great overall value
I love this suit. I rarely say I love a suit because I am chunky. I was so thrilled when I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It also was flattering to my figure and made me appear smaller looking. I like how it hides my tummy without making it look larger. Who ever designed this suit I wanna hug ya. Good job.
I LOVE this swimsuit! However - I want to order another on, as this one is finally wearing out, and I can't get it. Keeps showing that it's out of stock on line. When will it be available again? Or where else can I get it?
I love it! Very flattering. But hasn't been in the water yet to see how\nMuch it stretches when it gets wet. But I bought a 3 x cuz I don't like my suits super right and it was huge. Was gonna get a 2x but they were out. So I got a 1x and it's just a tad but not really too small. Prolly perfect but I don't like too tight. I hope it holds up well.
I am a 38H (as in HUGE) and I typically wear a 14W to 16W. I didnt want to drop $100 on a suit to support my chest. I came up with the bright idea that if I could find a suit that i could wear a sports bra under it that it would be able to support my chest. This suit did the trick, (although I have a different print). I tried it for the first time today, I wore a 2x sports bra (NOT RACER BACK) I bought the one that has medium firm support and a bra like clasp by danskin. My chest was supported and miracle or miracles my back didn't hurt at the end of the day. I highly recommend this style and idea to any woman with a big chest. And no you couldn't tell that I was wearing a sports bra.
I Purchased this bathing suit to wear to a water exercise class at a YMCA where the water is pretty heavily chlorinated. I wanted an inexpensive suit that just has to last perhaps a year. I would have liked more bust coverage \/ support, but it's the end of the season so I had very little to choose from.
I was so afraid of this purchase that when I finally got I didn't want to open it. But I wanted something outside of the box to wear on my vacation to Jamacia. To my surprise it fits great and it comforatable I don't recommend if your well indowed in top area the strap around the neck might be a bit much. I tried it on and to my surprise my husband and kids approved. So for the first time I will be wearing a two piece and loving it....
This suit really gives you support without being too tight. I like the quality a lot. Very well made. I got the suit on sale and think the price was within range of my budget. If it had been regular priced I may have passed it by. A great suit for the money.
About me: I'm 5'8, 230lbs, 38B-34-47, a little belly, little muffin top, no \"dunlapped over.\" For $20, I figured I'd give it shot what's the worse that could happen? I ordered the red suit in an XL. The bra cups were too big for me. I can adjust the band and the straps on the halter for comfort, but the cups are still big. I could only dream of boobs that big. I ended up throwing a few extra stitches behind the criss-cross in the front to bring the cups in, added more padding for a push up effect and that did the trick. I was a bit leery of the bottoms being too small, but they weren't. The XLs fit across my backside, and the high waist remained high waisted.\n\nNow, here's how the suit ended up looking completely different on me, but I loved it. In the picture, the bottoms have the shirred siding and I'm sure on a smaller frame, the shirred siding would give it the retro skirt appearance as it does in the picture. However, stretched across my bottom the shirred siding pulled the material giving the front more of a ruched effect. The seams were not stressed at all I checked multiple times as I pulled it on and off. No, wardrobe malfunction for me. It was absolutely fantastic!!! Having that ruched effect changed the appearance of the suit on me as my waistline was defined and it appeared to smooth out my hips and thighs, and camouflaged the undesired parts of being slightly fluffy. So, while I cannot say it looks the same on me as it does in the picture, for $20, I'm more than happy! The quality of the cloth is nice, and when they say lightly padded they mean just that.
Bought this suit to wear to water-fitness class. I'm 5' tall and about 230 lbs, which means I'm thick through the middle. I'd read that taller gals weren't having any problem with the torso length. In my case, maybe because my measurements (chest, waist and hips) are so close to the same, I'm having a problem with the breast pads not being up far enough.\nI ordered a 3x like my previous Catalina suit (a different style I'd purchased in the store). Was desperate for a suit, so I kept it, but it doesn't really give me the support I need up top. Kind of feels like it's pulling me down but would probably be fine if the pads were where they need to be. Maybe I should've got the 4x? Had hoped for thicker straps, but I do like that these are adjustable.\nThe ruffle is cute, but it tends to flip up and get stuck showing the reverse, unpatterned side of the fabric while I'm in the water.\nOther than that, I really do love this suit black suit\/white dots. A couple of much larger women complimented me, asked where I bought it, and said they really liked that the back was higher to hide (fat rolls). LOL!
I bought this in a hurry, because i needed it for a weekend pool party. I like to keep things conserved\/modest yet still look cute. I also love the old fashioned swimsuits (etsy.com's did not fit my budget). This totally met my expectations. I wanted a striped one, but the black polka dot was the only one available in M, so i bought it. i was unsure at checkout, but i loved it! The polka dots were a bright white, and a deep set black. Very flattering to my shape and really hid my big hips, even made the waist look smaller. The only thing i didn't really like was that when i got in the water, the shorts puffed up a bit and it looked like a tutu. I fixed the problem by tieing a knot on the sides. It may be different for other women though, my legs are an odd shape. I got there sort of self conscious because all the other girls had a two piece, but i received soooooo many compliments. i felt and looked great. And it kinda looks like a romper, so you can just wear it out for a walk on the beach and look good. *Arrived before expected :)
