After reading reviews on other paddles offered for sale, I elected to go with a more expensive and hopefully better built paddle. I bought 4 of these, and I have only used them once, but they seem to be as solid as advertised, and built to last. They are lightweight, sturdy, and didn't have any problems with the handles having buttons or knobs that got in the way while paddling, as mentioned in some of the reviews on telescoping or multipiece paddles. Satisfied so far.
Was dissappointing because the tube would fill with water when the kids were sitting in it. It was also kind of a pain to keep taking the inflatable middle in and out when you want to switch from sitting to lying down although its nice it has the option. I will return this and purchase one for just lying down.
This is a great value for the money. It does need a high-volume low pressure inflator (a tire pump won't work) such as you would use for an air mattress. Walmart has an Ozark inflator for $10 that works from the car just fine. The kayak inflates quickly, holds up well to both kids and adults, is very comfortable and paddles very nicely, even in a high wind, though that makes it very slow going! Highly recommended. We got it for a family outing and it was a real treat for the family. Everyone enjoyed using it. The fact that the seats are not fixed in place made it nice to configure for one or two passengers. It is roomy without being too unmanageable.
This boat is rugged, I was worried about a few rocks on the ground when inflating it but it didn't pop at all. It's very durable and great for the price. Sharp rocks or trees could be a problem for any inflatable, but the affordability of this boat does not negate it's durability.
This kayak doesn't stay inflated, it bends under my weight when I am out in the ocean, on the items instruction manual and on the box it stated that this kayak would hold a person up to 250 pounds, well I weight 207 pounds, and it doesn't hold me, I am disappointed with this kayak.
We got two of these at the sale price of $169.00 each. We are in our 50\"s and did not want to spend a great deal of money in the event that this sport was not for us. Roof racks are not an option for us because of the height of our garage. Lugging around heavy kayaks was not an option either. There may be better kayaks out there - we use this on a medium size lake - calm waters. I would recommend buying better paddles. Very stable in the water. Of course my sister rolled her eyes - she has three kayaks and the cheapest one she has is about $900 and that was on sale. Glad I don't have to lug those around. Not sure if I would have paid the list price for this but it is fun and an opportunity to get on a lake or river.
