........or you will miss half of the movie! The only problem with this Christmas Holiday movie is that there is very little of it there, ....25 minutes, and part of that is the introduction & credits! The Ice Age movies are always excellent, and I'm a sucker for Christmas movies anyway, this is a very good movie, if you want to call it that, I kinda thought it might be a "prequel" for something "longer", but such is not the case I guess. I was left wanting "MORE" at the end of this, and was hoping a longer version would be here for 2012, but no haps on that.
Enjoy what there is of it, you will like what you see.............
Rudd and Scott aren't stretching any new muscles, but Rudd's glum disaffection and Scott's bozo bonhomie do gel with a satisfying stickiness. They handle the gaping innuendo with such delicacy we know that they know they're better than this.
Role Models could have been another formulaic comedy, fresh off the assembly line. Instead, the work of Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott here is worthy of praise and one of the funnier films this year.
As the brutality ramps up, and the story gains real consequence, for some reason, we actually laugh harder. Goon is a comedy, often a very funny one, but you might be hesitant to call it that once you've actually seen it.
Great movie, however it does not include the DVD nor the digital copy. If you're looking for those they were limited to the first 3,000 or so copies of the movie as a "Bonus Pack". The copies being sold now are limited to blu-ray but contain the hilarious commentary by director Kevin Smith.
Carlos Saldanha's mix of race-against-time action and eco-friendly propaganda is actually an improvement on the original, not least for giving its funniest character -- acorn-hunting rodent Scrat -- a lot more to do.
