I would have considered it a good value if it worked for the minimal time it worked it was okay at best. Backlight (techs opinion) went with less than 100 hrs on it. Here is a cut and paste from there online tech service chat:\nTech Support 04:\nFrom your description it sounds like your backlight has died and it will need to be replaced.\ncustomer:\nWhere or how do I do that?\nTech Support 04:\nUnfortunately you are not under the Warranty and we cannot service it for free. The panel is the most expensive part of the TV and costs about the same price as a TV to replace.\ncustomer:\nNot the answer I was looking for. From reviews of 2013 owners it seems this is a common problem. Like I said this was a bedroom TV that worked in reality for less than 100 hours.\nTech Support 04:\nIt is not a common problem, we are sorry for the inconvenience.\ncustomer:\nSorry for the inconvenience is the final resolution?\nTech Support 04:\nIf you want my honest opinion, its going to cost slightly less to repair it then get a new TV. There is nothing else that we can do for you since you are out of warranty...\nI interpret the last line as my best option is to throw it in the trash and my best interest is too buy a different one. I am just sharing their conversation. Interpret for yourself.\nBought it at Walmart. Be clear to always check electronics that they have not removed certain features from the original products and just added a letter to clear liability from the fact that it is not the exact model people may be reviewing from other distributors.
