I have used this product as a color blocker and also as a primer. It is fantastic. Better, in my opinion, than Kilz. Painted over a dark green, one coat, with this primer, and it was ready for the light color I then painted with, which only took one coat. I have some of that cheap paneling in the basement, which I am going to try next, cannot afford to replace it. I have done 1 panel, and it looks as though it will cover fine, so I am off to buy more. No apparent bleed through.

Beautiful sheen, color for refinishing old stuff!!
Was about to order new knobs for the kitchen and a couple of new ceiling fixtures. The old ones were tacky builder package shiny brass. My neighbor had sprayed her knobs and they looked pretty good, but the color wasn't really oil rubbed bronze. More of a greyish brown. So I hesitated to try and do the same thing. But I got to looking at the different paints in W-mart yesterday, the Krylon, the regular Rustoleum and this, the more premium Rustoleum. I decided to try this one. It was two dollars more so I hoped it would give a realistic looking oiled bronze finish. Took off the knobs, washed and hand dried them, sat them on a huge piece of cardboard, then gave them a medium coat on the bottom. An hour later flipped them and sprayed the tops. Let them sit overnight. Wow, they totally exceed my expectations! They have a slightly matte, yet sparkly sheen to them. Just right. A perfect finish and shade. When I saw the knobs, I got up on a ladder and took down a shiny brass hanging light fixture in the hallway, removed the glass, and got busy spraying it. I now have 28 beautiful knobs and a gorgeous new light. I still have enough in the can to do a couple more light fixtures. This stuff is wonderful!
Great for gutters, roofs, flashing, ductwork, PVC, masonry, concrete and more
Seal leaks and cracks
What our shoppers say:
easy to use.
My sliding glass doors were leaking. I used this product just once and had no problem since. I have also used it on my patio over the grout and it is wonderful. A great product. It is so wonderful to use a product that does what it advertises.
I finally gave in and bought this paint. Previously I had a chalk board wall decal that kept falling off the wall so that was a waste of money and time. I used the Rust-Oleum chalk board paint over the course of a weekend painting my kids play room wall. It works great. It wasn't too time consuming painting the wall. I have a relatively smooth wall so it was easy.
The online color selection said a \"DARK Hunter Green\" color was available, and it does exist as a color in this Rustoleum product...but the paint that was sent was \"REGULAR\" Hunter Green. So the color choice selection wording online was incorrect. I returned it immediately without any issues, so the problem was just that the online selection of this product was not correct. So do NOT order the DARK color expecting it to be Dark Hunter Green...you will get (regular) Hunter Green.\n\nIt's also a little confusing that the NAME of the product online is alway given as \"GLOSS BLACK\", but you then have to choose your desired color and this chosen color does NOT replace the \"BLACK\" color designation for the item. That shows up even in this review..where it says it's a review for GLOSS BLACK paint.. but it's not, because I chose another color to purchase.\n\nSo the other aspects of the order were fine, delivery speed, ease of ship to store pickup, etc. It's just that the online description of my color was not correct.
Used this to paint two chairs I found in a dumpster. Wow, what an easy application and quick stable drying. I have used lots of spray paint but this product is one of the best. I used the Ivy and it was really vibrant and rich.
I had a beautiful lion and lamb statue out in front of my home - and the hot Texas sun soon bleached all of the color out of it - so I strategically sprayed it with this (sienna stone) and now it looks even more expensive and has shown no signs of fading, chipping, or peeling after many months of hot summer sun! Awesome product and well worth the price!
Great idea in theory. But after stirring for close to a half hour to get the right consistency and applying three coats (as per the instructions on the box) with a foam roller, the paint wouldn't hold the smallest of items. Worse, the covering itself was rough for some reason... so I had to sand it all down in preparation for repainting.\n\nA lot of investment for absolutely zero return.
Problem I had is there is too much dark colors to light. Need the lightest color to have 2 cans and the darkest to only have one.\nBut My rock looks great , we painted it for my son in the Army in Afghanistan, will be placing a yellow ribbon on it till he comes home.
Actually I was just looking for a good silver color when I discovered this, this is the closest thing to actual chome that I've ever found, much more so than Krylon chome. I'd given up on finding anything that actually resembled chrome until I found this. If you're just looking for a silver-silver than buy the Krylon chome, but if you want something you can see yourself in, buy this!
Great item. Don't waste your money on expensive bed liners. This does the job just as good as rhino or line x and way cheaper. Take your time and follow the instructions. When done its better than a rhino lining. I had a rhino and it wasn't all it was hyped to be. Have patience and enjoy the final product you will not be dissapointed.
