iv been using rogain for a month now. i notice less shedding. i have hair loss on top and balding on both sides of scalp. i was also losing hair on one of my eyebrows. i applied it with a q-tip on my eyebrow and its growing back. i see less hair falling out. i will continue to use it but its preety expensive. i wish it would come with a 4month supply like the rogain for men. and i also noticed it doesnt come in the foam for women which it would be perfect because it doesnt run like the liquid. im 45 and suffering for discoid lupus this is very tramatic for a woman i am glad rogain is helping get my hair back....i will write again in 3 months and tell you the final results.
I am 27 yr old. Been going bald for a couple years, one day looked in the mirror and wow I'm really almost bald. All my friends would call me \"Father Time\" and I would always get the bald jokes. There was no more denying it. So I decided to try something and ordered Rogaine. I have gone through a 4 mo. cycle and I have had considerable regrowth, working on my second cycle. The trade off for Rogaine is that you must use it twice a day and walk around\/sleep with a Rogaine head, everyday! As in before you use hair gel\/etc. since it's kind of like a \"rogaine hair gel\" (you can kinda style hair and it will hold slightly), and having to wash it out in the morning. It does take commitment like anything in life. But for me there wasn't even a choice, a head or hair or be lazy.. At first you will see peach fuzz within a short amount of time (couple weeks for me), but to see real results and be able to truly say you have hair 4 mo. and you can't argue. Other people will comment to you about how your hair is starting to look good. But you have to use as long as you want hair. And you will forget all about being bald.\n\nMy bald picture attached has long hair, hair so long I could comb over. The long hair was to give the illusion of hair but it failed. The line of skin on my head that you see was like that all over the top of my head. When I had it buzzed it was bald. The other is 4 months and that is morning hair.
I'm a female and I went to a Bosley location in my city. I bought Rogaine for men from that Bosley so this current purchase was my refill. Rogaine is great. I see the texture of my hair to be more stronger. I have less hair falling out. It's only been three (3) months but I notice a slight difference in my hair. I will have to keep using it for a long period, perhaps for the rest of my life. However I'm OK with that.
I have never heard anyone make a positive claim about Rogaine, but decided to try it for myself. I am only 44, but have noticed my part becoming wider. The diagram included with the package makes it difficult to determine if you are the right type of candidate for Rogaine. I think this is done intentionally, so the company can tell disappointed customers they were just not the right candidate for the product. I thought my area of thinning was similar to the diagram and am on my 1st month's use. The only difference I have seen is large clumps of hair coming out of my head!!! There was noting mentioned about this in the package insert. I cannot even estimate the amount of hair that I am losing, but do know that while showering I have to stop twice to clear the drain. The insert states that results take a few months to be noticeable, so why the product is sold in a one month supply is a mystery. Someone mentioned she rubbed the product into her scalp. This is not what the directions I have state. Maybe they have changed since she posted this. Also, the package insert states it is not necessary to use continuously, so I was surprised at the number of people who posted comments about using product for more than 6 months. I am aware of the growth cycle of hair so I will keep using the product until I am through the cycle. I believe it is important to give a product a chance to work. However, I do not know why my hair began falling out after I started use.
