I have very oily skin and I decided to try out this \"stay matte\" powder to help control my shine. I've had it on for about 6-7 hours and I've had to touch up about 2-3 times. I've used a lot worse products, but I'm not sure if I'll purchase this again after I run out. The lid is not very secure at all. I wouldn't put it in my purse or make up bag. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.
Listen ladies, I must wear makeup because I have a facial scar. I am so pale that without foundation you'll see a bright red circular mark on my chin (hence, the scar). I am on a budget too, so Rimmel London's prices work best for me. By far when it comes to their foundation products, this one has been the best. It's silky and comes on smoothly without being blotchy. I've tried their other product called Clean Finish and that one dries up and is definitely blotchy. However this particular product mixes well and comes on evenly. It does not match well with my skin tone, but I don't think any foundation would because I'm too pale (and no, I'm not a red head). This covers my scar's redness very well and gives me that even skin-tone look that I seek. It lasts all day, too. It can be pretty shiny but if you finish it with a decent powder that will take care of the shine. The only issue I have with it is that it takes a long time to dry up once it's on, and it's hard to get the product out of the very bottom of the bottle. But I am for sure buying this again. This foundation is ok. It's not horrible by any means. It states it controls shine up to 12 hours, but that is definitely not true for me. I put this foundation on about 6-7 hours ago and I've have to touch up 2-3 times. The coverage is very minimal, but with a concealer and powder it's fine. I will probably start using a primer with this foundation just to help it apply better and stay on longer. I don't love this product, but I don't hate it either. I've used better and worse.
The foundation is extremely cheap not only in price but in quality as well. When you get the foundation out of the jar you only have a few seconds before the foundation drys completely after applying it. It is messy and hard to get a nice even look when your foundation is drying faster than you can smooth it out on your face. I would not recommend. I will stick to Remmel.
I am surprised how well this foundation works, and the price is absolutely amazing. This cap comes with an attached spatula. It helps to get the product out easily and keeps the bateria out. This foundation has a gel-cream texture. It gives a medium coverage wtihout the greasy or heavy feeling, and yes it does make the pores appear smaller, and it brightens up my dull complexion. The only cons is it doesn't come with any SPF.
