I was expecting less based on a previous review. However, Irons, Zellweger, Harris, and Mortensen delivered solid believable performances. The adventure led to a gun fight which all slap happy cowboys eventually endure. The crux of the plot line was: Gunslingers do not yield. Thus, hang in there...things are going to get exciting. And so it was. If you like old school western adventure, you will enjoy Appalossa. However, if you are looking for aliens, spaceships, or computer generated nonscence, Appaloosa will not satisfy.
My 4 year old son loves this movie he watches it everyday, he sings the song at the end. he also like the videos and little activities at the end. I even like this movie because it teaches kids about nature.
I thought I owned this movie and wanted to watch it with my niece while she was visiting me. She said her boyfriend said she was movie deprived and I thought it would be nice to start catching her up on some of my favorites, only to find I did not have this movie. I went to local Walmart and could not find it. Clerk recommended I purchase it on line. I went home that evening and ordered it and received it quickly, in time to enjoy with her. thank you Walmart for being there for me.
From a bevy of cheesy jolt scares (alarm clock! barking dog!) to the embarrassing sight of Zellweger and Ian McShane treating this Orphan-style B-movie silliness with grave seriousness, the film proves to be one hokey-horror riot.
Case 39 isn't full of suspense or terror, but for those who cannot stand too much excitement, this movie is for you. There are times I don't want to watch something too scary, so this movie was just right. I think the acting was great. Renee always does a great job.
