I have no reason to believe anything has improved since release of the earlier VR5320 model. Read the reviews of the model VR5320 here so you know what you may be in for. Please also read MY review of the VR5320 dated 1/17/2011 (will appear at top if you choose "Sort by Most Helpful") Also read the Q&A of all the problems the 5320 had and my legnthy responses. This new model could also be just a new and improved-nightmare!!! Dont use for any mission-critical purpose until you are certain it doesnt have corruption-problems of its predecessors. Because I have had horrific experiences with ALL previous RCA models over the past SIX years, I strongly urge you not to buy this altogether. The extra 20 bucks or so for Panasonic, etc. in my opinion is well spent.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this recorder. A perfect size and great sound. Rounded out well with an AC power supply and an external microphone. Great buy.

I have been rehearsing for a play that I will be in. Someone suggested for me to try studying my part by recording it. That is why I bought this recorder. It works great. I was able to record myself doing my entire part and hear my own voice. This way I can make adjustments if I don't like the way certain things sound. It was very easy to learn how to use the recorder. It's small so I can just toss it in my bag.

I am a computer literate person. Was able to install date & time. But that is all.\n\nAfter an hour, I gave up. Each button has several functions, and it is unclear from the instructions what and which! Got one recording to work, but the quality was atrocious. But could not repeat it.\n\nIt needs more buttons, and much better instructions. I finally returned it.\n\nDONT BUY THIS!
