Whilst not as atrocious as some other films that have opened this year, the truely woeful story and quality of Silent is saved only by its occasion moments of visual flair, and its all over effective creepy atmosphere.
I bought this movies several years ago. I loaned to a friend and never received it back. I am so happy to have it in my movie library once again. It is such a sweet movie about the magic of imagination, caring for a child in need, giving of yourself to others, helping out a true friend and loving others children as your very own. This is one of my favorite movies. I highly suggest to anyone to watch this wonderful movie! It is a great price too!
Raises more questions than it answers as it attempts to convince us that a moralistic sniper would torture a sleazy publicist into tears of guilt and remorse over what amounts to a few paltry, venial sins.
Silent Hill is one of the best horror movies since Amityville Horror. The first movie went hand in hand with the first game; the only difference is: In the game Harry Mason was the main character who went into Silent Hill with the daughter where as in the movie his wife takes the daughter into Silent Hill. Where as Silent Hill Revelation: Harry Mason takes the daughter int Silent Hill, but in the third game the mother takes her. All in all they're both GREAT MOVIES. Since I'm adicted to playingall the games since the first one both movies were an added bonus to watch and own. When and how the first movie ended I knew they'd be another. I'm just hoping that there will also be a third one, at least I hope so.
Reminds us there is little to divide comedy from tragedy, and that neither comes exclusively. After all, the tears of sorrow and the tears of joy both come from the same place, and dampen a tissue with equal intensity.
Neither version of Melinda, despite Mitchell(TM)s game try at making them distinctive beyond their different hairdos, is funny or tragic enough to fully engage us; there(TM)s no opportunity for an audience to be moved.
