I bought so many items in Walmart.com and normally give ratings of 4 stars on average but this is the first time that I am so disappointed why Walmart would even consider selling this product. Bought this as a gift for mom but had to test it first. It doesn't sew right on light fabrics (drapery lining, silk, faux silk, lace, linen), even after adjusting the tension (tighter or looser), followed the instructions to a tee, searched online, watched demo videos but to no avail. Returned the item and went and purchased a Brother instead.

This is a cute little machine to fix little things around the house that need more than a sewing needle. It is very lightweight being a plus and minus. It is easy to carry but hard to manipulate large items..had to improvise it in place so it doesn't move with double sided tape otherwise works fine.

Perfect for all those little, nips, tucks, seleves, trouser cuffs & assorted wash day mending tasks, that is also easy to put away when the laundry is finished. It also is easy on arthritic hands.

I bought this thinking I could hem, pants and sheets faster than by hand and I ended up returning it because it did not work. The thread kept breaking before I could even get a few stitches on fabric.

I'm nearing 70 & my hands shake some so parts of threading it were hard for me. I thought instructions could've been clearer concerning tension. Changing the needle is hard due it being so long; a little more room is needed without it scraping on face plate or bobbin plate. I had to use needle nose pliers to hold it before finally getting it pushed up far enough. It's good for a beginner.
