I WOULD RECOMMEND THE LG PORTABLE A\/C.THE PRODUCT PERFORMANCE IS GOOD.IT RUNS PRETTY QUITELY.I OWN ANOTHER LG PORTABLE A\/C DIFFERENT MODEL,WHICH I AM PLEASED.I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS MODELWEIGHED OVER 100 LBS COMPARED TO MY OTHER MODEL WEIGHING ONLY ABOUT 68 LBS.I PREFERRED THE GREY COLOR OVER THE PLAIN WHITE.ALSO NEED MORE PORTABLE LG UNITS IN STOCK SINCE THIS BRAND IS A HOT SELLER! ALSO WHAT ABOUT AN END OF SEASON MARK-DOWN? EMAIL ME ASAP!!
Although a bit bulky, the main unit is not unattractive. The upper end coolers have some neat features, such as an oscillating fan & remote. However, my first unit failed within 2 days. The second came without a manual. LG Customer Service was worthless in both instances.\n\nIn general, LG coolers may be okay, [other than being very noisy, heavy & leaky with border-line cooling efficiency], BUT ... CUSTOMER SERVICE is TERRIBLE!\n\nBe aware that GIFTS, even though registered, ARE NOT covered under warranty. ONLY the original purchaser's NAME, with RECEIPT will get a genuine assist from LG Customer Service or warranty response. English is obviously NOT the native language of the representatives I dealt with [4 different people] - communication is very disturbing and frustrating. AGAIN, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT, DON'T buy as a GIFT or purchase if Customer Service is important to you.
So far, it has met all my expectations. However, it is to soon to know the power usage. The unit cools a larger area than designated and is fairly quiet. I would recommend the LG 1311 BXR to anyone - it's great!
