I carry this with me driving a big semi OTR ~ Over The Road. Very compact to carry. Can be easily stored in any vehicle. Only downside is if you have to dump coals out (properly disposing of them, of course). Shell can get pretty hot.
Nice grill especially for the price. Cooks even, side burner works good (only have used it once so far). Also like the covered area and double doors to hide your propane tank away. Only downfall I see, no where to hang your grill utensil. But I just use the side shelf.\nAlmost when picking one out at store. Look them over at store pretty good. Some of them seemed to be put together in a rush, while a couple others were in good shape.
I was looking to replace my portable girl and fount this on Walmart.com Its best feature is that the legs fold up and lock the grill top in place, allowing you to carry it by the top handle. It is a little smaller than I'd prefer, but it is perfect for what I wanted. At $10, it's a great buy.
Shortly after we purchased this grill at regular price, it was put on sale by Walmart at $60 below what we paid. We have asked repeatedly for a price adjustment \/ credit for the $60 to no avail. We were told we could send it back to Walmart (at Walmart's expense) and we could then repurchase the same item at the sale price. Since that makes no sense for either us or Walmart, we have repatedly emailed and called Walmart but have gotten the same stupid response. Surely someone at Walmart can oversee and override that kind of stupidity. We are very unhappy with this purchase.
This grill is replacing my 10 year old table top\/tail gate grill that I also purchased at WalMart. The last one held up so well that of course I wanted to replace it with the same model. Altho' there are some cosmetic differences, this grill has the same grilling area and dual grates. It heats very well, it is easy to control the temperature and for our application is perfect. It doesn't take up much space, is easily stored and has plenty of cooking\/warming space for meals for 2 - 4 people.
I'll echo what many of the other reviewers said. This grill was easy to put together and for the most part works well. I've been using it for camping trips for the past few months and it works well. The main downside is that the ends of the grill do not heat as well as the middle. For the price, this grill is great!
This grill lasted me over 7 years. It's $13.50 now and I bought it for $9.50. I have dragged this thing everywhere, and taking on my boat to the beach was it's final undoing. It rusted out. My only complaint is that I can't find another Walmart with one in stock to replace this one. Best grill I ever had! The reason I like it is it is so practical and closes up VERY WELL. I can fold the legs and put the handle over the top and nothing falls out. I will miss it. Oh and to the person who was complaining about it being \"cheap\"; it is but what do you want for the price other than a versatile inexpensive grill?
