This is a great series! I do love the price I was able to get it for but I do NOT recomend you use Site-to-store! it took me several weeks to get the book and its been well over a month and the other books in the series STILL arent in!
First off Wal-mart has this book at a great price, about 1\/2 of a bookstore. Second, I'm not exactly too found of where this series is headed. In the last book Burned Heath, the one guy that truly loved Zoey was killed off and Zoey's soul was shattered and spent most of the last book trying to get it back. The fact that she cashed in her V card in one of the earlier books to Loren the poet and is now intimately with Stark only a few weeks after her soul mate dies (never having been with him) has her coming off cheap. In the last book as well as this one, it's no longer written in the view of Zoey but all the characters have views, which is exhausting and sometimes very boring. Aphrodite isn't featured in this book very much and the majority of the time she's shouting obscenities at Neferet that'd make a sailor blush. Speaking of Neferet, she's supposed to be becoming more evil but coming off as more of a wakko than anything. At one point in the book Neferet publicly apologizes to Zoey, a fake apology meanwhile outside and taking her clothes off.
i have to say i thought i would like this book but its not for kids i have to say it may sound like it but the thing is it has some se x#al stuff in there i would not tell anyone about this book. i thought it was a bad book.
For any House of Night fan this is a must have book... It goes in depth about the House of night theme and folklore and how real life ideology comes into play when the author duo P.C. and Kristin Cast created the world that Zoey Redbird and her circle and fledgeling friends live in....
The book iself left me wanting to know more about why Neferet chose the path she took. The events that take place in the book don't seem like enough to send her so far over the edge, they had to be more stuff that happened.
I love getting books at Wal-mart's great price. I was excited to get this book because I loved all the books in the series. This book is different, it's no longer from Zoey's point of view, but all the characters now have points of view, which is sometimes boring. I don't want to be a spoiler but one of the character's die and it's one that shouldn't have been killed off because of the relationship that was shared with another character. Zoey's also been stringing around 3 guys and it's not until something goes wrong that she actually gets rid of any of them, which has her coming off looking cheaper than Aphrodite did in the beginning of the series. Neferet's not featured much in this book but when she is, it's usually having a verbal altercation with Aphrodite. Kalona's character is ruining the series as well as Neferet's character, who is coming off more as a nut than an evil high priestess. I wish her character had been written differently because she was suppose to have been Zoey's mother figure. The plot of this book and the series would have worked better if Kalona's character was the only evil force at work and Neferet was just Zoey's mentor and confidant. This book is still good but it does have a lot of flaws and the series could have been better if written differently.
i like the house of night books its just that they are draging it on you get the next book and its like im so excited and when u finish the book its like really all that and your only one step closerall those pages and thats it. im losing interest just like many others it is flat out BORING
