I bought this tent to replace one that was damaged. When I set it up at the deer lease I found it to be very thin walled for the weather. The rain fly could be better at keeping in the heat when the temperature 20 degrees. The wind lifted it up letting most of the heat escape. Had to place tarps over the roof to stop the draft. It will not hold 7 cots and leave any room to walk between. The small access point by the door is great, but the zipper needs to be better at holding it closed.\nIf it had been summer and I was young and like to sleep on the floor this would be a good tent.
We got the package very quickly and are looking forward to our camping trip. The only compliant I have so far is it was a gift and the package was clearly labeled \"TENT\", so when the package arrived at our home, the man of the house knew exactly what he was getting, which was a little disappointing to me.
I bought this tent, and used it for the first time a few weekends ago. There was about 15 mph wind gusts and 3 OF THE POLES SNAPPED!!! We barely slept the first night because the tent kept collapsing on us. Luckily a near by camper had metal rods that we were able to slide over the breaks in the poles the following morning otherwise we would have had to go home and miss out on our camping trip. Also, I was grateful that I thought to buy extra tent stakes because the ones that come with the tent are weak and don't do anything. They could barely hold the tarp in place. So while you get a lot of tent for your money, I highly suggest buying another tent or buying additional poles. So disappointed.
I ALWAYS LIKED THIS TENT , EASY TO SET-UP , ONLY WHEN YOU USE ZIPPER , CLOSE SLOWLY. GREAT FOR KIDS IN BACKYARD OR HIKING IN JUNGLE I LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES MOST OF THE TIME . IT CAN GET ABIT HOT , BUT THE MESH SCREENING WILL KEEP OUT ALL KING OF BUGS. I PLAN ON BUYING 2-3 MORE.
I ordered this to go with the canopy carried in the store - no sides in store - they do not match in color. But for what it is, it will work fine for us - the problem is the customer service issue - they could not accept it tax exempt for my 501(c)3 charity, then when I picked it up, I was told it was too late to fix it. The pick-up process was awful - very poor attitudes by the employees at the store near me. Since it went to a Super Walmart, there are a lot less items, variety of choice and the morale of the workers is deplorable. I will not go there unless absolutely necessary. Too bad, because I live less then 1 mile away and used to shop there frequently.
Thick wall aluminum /steel frame with specially designed "no wiggle" steel hinges
Durable frame holds up to 300lbs
Quick and easy setup simply unfoldlegs
What our shoppers say:
A camping cot that is economicl and functional.
The frame is light and folds to half length. The canvas is stretched drum-tight. Great for visitors, which is exactly what I needed it for. Didn't see any way it would break down further for backpacking.
