The movie Cars is tried and true...cannot go wrong with this DVD! It is a gift for my grandson who loves this movie. So will make him a happy boy to have his own! With no commercials to run out of it while watching.
\"Cars\" is the story of what happens when a big city race car gets stuck in a small town. Entertaining for children and adults alike. Adults will also have fun spotting the celebrity cameo voices like 'Click & Clack\", Darrel Waltrip, Bob Costas, and many more. And gearheads will appreciate that many of the characters in Cars are modelled after real vehicles like Porshe, VW bus, Jeep, GMC wrecker, Hudson, etc...\n\nUnfortunately the 'deleted scenes' aren't computer generated or even animated, but instead are in 'storyboard' format (i.e. roughly skeched still pictures)\n\nThe Car Finder game is kinda fun. The game plays the movie and you try to find specific cars in a scene. The ones you find you can go back and get brief bios of each. Even the ones that were only on screen a few seconds have names and backstories.\n\nThe picture seems to only be a little better than the DVD version (when the DVD version is upscaled) so if you already own the Cars DVD, you may want to think twice about getting the Blu-ray (or at least wait until the Blu-ray is on sale). If you don't already own it, you have no excuse! :-)
It was sent as a gift. The first time it said left on porch could not find it anywhere. I called customer service after an e-mail which was a total waste of time. They reshipped it but would not mark it signature required . I don't know if it made it or not.
I purchased this movie for my boys as a Christmas gift. They had been asking to see this movie for a long time. At first I was hesitant being that the trailers I had seen were showing all violence. Also all the adult reviews had said the movie was inappropriate for young children and not a cute fun loving movie like the first Cars movie. How wrong those ratings were! We all sat Christmas evening watching Cars 2, and we all LOVED it. Both my husband and I knew the ratings had to be wrong, and were probably written based off of the movie trailers only.\n\nI would definitely recommend this movie to any \"Cars\" fan.
This movie won an Oscar for best screen play. It's cute, witty, extraordinary, and Woody Allen does not appear in it. I don't always like his movies, but this one is a wonderful exception. I lent my first one to someone who never returned it, so this is my second purchase.
I first saw Shanghai Noon on TV, and I knew I had to get it on DVD. I opted for this double pack because I was interested in seeing the sequel, Shanghai Knights. I expected the sequel to be worse than the original since that seems to be the norm with movie sequels. I am pleased to report that I enjoy the sequel as much as the original. If you are looking for a couple of fun movies that take you on a crazy adventure and throw some action and humor into the mix, look no further than Shanghai Noon and Knights.
FIRSTLY, THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE BASED ON A TRUE STORY. ACTING SUPER. CLAIRITY IS EXCELLENT, COLOR, RIGHT ON. THE SOUND IN THIS MOVIE WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A SOUND BAR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE FINE ACTING. THIS WILL BE A KEEPER FOR ME. ROGER
I was very surprised that this movie ended up being one I liked. It was one free for signing up for Vudu and it is not one I would have rented had it not been because I had never heard of it. Owen Wilson playing in a serious movie? I was pleased it kept me interested all the way through. I throughly enjoyed it.
I actually bought this product online during the Christmas Holiday to avoid the rush of the store but happen to need to go to Wal Mart one day and stumbled across this movie. Listed online, it's is 9.96 but in not one but two Wal Mart stores, this movie was one of their 5 dollar movies. I did a site to store with this order and literally picked it up from site-to-store and walked to the other side of wal mart and returned it and about the other that was less expensive for the same product. The cashier mention to me that it happens all the time where people return products because they are cheaper in-store then online. Just be aware of that.
