Nintendo broke the mold yet again with another strange \"controller\" this time in the form of a tablet look-alike. Wind Waker HD has a nice use of the touch screen controller, allowing you to play on your TV and have the controller as a quick map or quick inventory for the game, or you can play the game itself on the tablet if someone else in your household wants to watch television. I feel as if the tablet controller isn't really being used to it's full potential with other Wii U titles such as Lego City Undercover, it has innovative features with the game itself serving as a communications device between characters, a map, and few in game moments to eavesdropping on conversations relating to your current case. The bundle-in Hyrule History book is a fantastically artistic book and looks great even for a digital download.\n\nPros:\n- Innovative controller\/tablet hybrid\n- Netflix app can be watched on tablet or on the television itself\n- Decent battery life for controller\/tablet\n- Looks great (would recommend getting a full body protector for the controller\/tablet to protect its glossy finish and gold TLoZ artwork. Skinomi makes a great quality one)\n- Comes with charging dock. Which is great to display the controller as you charge it\n\nCons:\n- Price is a bit high\n- Game selection is not very large as of yet\n- Range on the controller\/tablet seems kind of limited and loses connection to the console if I put my feet up and block direct line of sight to the console from the tablet
If you don't have this game you should be get it NOW!!! It is wonderful. My 9 year old daughter and I have a great time dancing with this. The music is also great. This will make any dull evening one to remember.
This game is amazing! I bought it for my stepson's 9th birthday and he loves it. His dad loves it too. The ability to play with the different figures is a definite catch for the two of them. We definitely plan to buy more of the figures and games. We had to update our Wii system to play it. This can easily be done online or by contacting Nintendo, but it was a simple fix, once we figured it out. The shipping was amazing, as well. I bought the game online and received this package before the expected date, which made me very happy. I would recommend this game to any one. I'm not sure of the age range, but it is a great game.
I was charged for the product but never received it. Customer service nightmare! Found out the store never received it but I was still charged for it. I emailed customer service who told me to call the store - the store told me to call corporate - corporate transferred me to customer service after being on hold for 8 minutes - then I hung up after being on hold for another 5 minutes. Easier to just call my credit card company and dispute the charge.
Bought this as a gift for a 12 year old who was having a gaming party for his birthday and even he was insulted at how simplified and boring this game is compared to the last one.\n\nWe went and traded it and got Mario Party 8 again.
