Love this product! My only problem is when I go to other people's house, I wait for their\nordinary trash can to open!\nVery nice looking and the oval shape with the flat back fits nicely against the cabinet,
I have been using Nine Stars products for several years now in our kitchen and we just got a new dog that likes to take tissues out of the trash. So I decided to stock the house with these sensor cans. I bought three of these a few weeks ago (one 13 gal and two 3.2s) and somehow lost one of the warranty registrations. Already one of the 3.2s doesn't work... so beware.\n\nOne other thing, if you are using these for food garbage be extremely careful about how you clean the lids. Some liquid got into our kitchen lid a while back and shorted out the circuits. Luckily I was able to order a lid only replacement from a medical supply company.

What our shoppers say:
I've had the unit since last Dec 2011
Never clogs , always works , using hand soup for bathroom.\nstill has the same batterys. It does drip once in a while after I take my hand away but 98% of the time it does not drip at all. The quicker you pull you hand away the faster it stops. It does give alot of soap when not quickly removing hand. When I first filled it I read online to water down the first batch of soup but now I'm useing it right out of the refill bottle and will change the battery soon but this was well worth trying out.\nCame Free with automatic trash container.
I bought this garbage can over a year agoe for my daughters room when she was born as an alternative to a diaper specific type garbage can. I have been so pleased with it I am buying another for my soon to be born son's room. At first I was worried that because it wasn't for diapers specifically that the room would smell, that has not been the case. For the most part the can is pretty air tight when the lid is closed. When the lid opens though you will get a wiff of diaper if you have let them sit for a while. I like that I can buy regular garbage bags rather than have to buy a specific kind suited for the gabage can. The 6.3 gallon can has been an ideal size. We changed it more often when our daughter was a baby (more diapers) but now usually empty it 1-2 times a week. The smell never gets that bad since it never gets exceptionally full and we take the #2 diapers directly outside. The touchless option has been excellent! Especially when you've gotten your hands messy, which happens with baby diapers!.

Ordered online. Bought batteries. Did not work. Tried everything. Returned to Walmart. This garbage can was just that. Garbage. Lesson learned here folks (and this was a concern of mine going into the purchase) ; avoid electronic garbage cans. Are we really to that point in society when we need that? So upon return of this overpriced hunk of junk I bought a good old fashioned 13 gallon can with a foot pedal and it worked! No batteries nessesary.
