I was looking for this specific camera but ended up returning it after finding it $80 cheaper at a competitor. I asked Wal-Mart to match the other price and they said no - so I returned it. Not only was it $80 cheaper at the other place, but it also came with a camera bag and SD Card. Nothing worng with the camera itsleft - just over priced!
I have always loved taking pictures and I have never had a really 'good' camera. Just simple aim and shoot digital cameras. My friend is a professional photographer and she said she only uses Nikon. I looked around at the Nikon cameras and read many reviews and settled on the Cooplix S9500. It had everything I wanted in a camera. It was a birthday present from my husband (I was told to pick what I wanted) and I couldn't have picked a better camera. The day after I got it, we went to a wedding and I took 200 pictures and they look like a professional took them. The clarity of detail is amazing and the zoom lens is awesome. You don't have to push people out of the way to get the perfect shot. Just zoom in and it's like you are a foot away from the subject.\nThere is so much to learn about the camera and the disc that comes with it is easy to read and understand. I hope to enjoy many years with my Nikon Cooplix S9500 camera.
This camera was a gift, and what seemed to be a great camera in the beginning, quickly proved to not be suitable for our family.\nThe still pictures...where your subjects are actually not moving, are excellent no doubt! However, we have 2 children under 4 and it's not easy to get them to sit still for anything. Every picture that has movement in it is blurry, so we miss a LOT of those memorable moments.\nI called Nikon and they said, \"You cannot get still pictures from a moving subject with this camera.\" That's a quote! Also, even the sports mode and \"continuous shot\" mode won't help.\nSo, if you like to take pics of anything moving...I wouldn't recommend this camera for you. :(\nConsidering we paid $199.00 for this camera, and it's a Nikon brand, I would've expected better quality action shots.
This is probably an excellent camera, but my whole purpose for buying it was that it was rechargeable. I have another Nikon that I just plug in for a few hours and it recharges the batteries. I have saved enough in batteries to pay for that camera, but wanted an upgrade with higher zoom and pixels. The description says comes with battery charger, but the list of stuff in the manual only states contains regular AA batteries. Returned for this single reason, need one that recharges, period. This is the best feature I have ever had in a point and shoot camera, they all should have this feature.
