I had to borrow the movie from a friend to watch it! Beacause it never came from the shipment I ordered on Wal-Mart.com, needless to say this was the first time I've ordered from Wal-Mart.com. I won't ever order anything on the Wal-Mart website again, also when I called the store for an update on my packages progress the person helping me (if you could even call it that) was really rude!!!! :(
Broadly conceived and schematically directed (or is it non-directed?), this is a shallow satire, basically a short extended into feature length movie, about a rehabilitation camp for gays and lesbians that wastes the talent of Natasha Lyons.
I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE MANY TIMES AND LOVE IT MORE EACH TIME I SEE IT...RECENTLY IT WAS ON T.V. AND MY HUSBAND HAPPENED TO WATCH IT WITH ME AND HE ACTUALLY LIKED IT...IT IS JUST A FEEL GOOD FUNNY LOVE STORY....EVEN YOUNGER CHILDREN COULD WATCH IT....LOVE HUGH JACKMAN AND MEG RYAN TOGETHER...I RECCOMEND IT FOR ALL YOU ROMANTICS,AND COMEDY LOVERS....
Though hypocritical in the way it sensationalizes sexuality, this serious and funny 1998 movie about a 15-year-old coming to terms with her body and her family in 1976 is, refreshingly, never coy or ironic.
A time-travel romantic comedy whose best elements -- Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman -- overcome distracting plot holes, loose threads and assorted contrivances to make for a mostly charming and diverting tale.
