The bike itself is a good deal, the bike is a little heavy though. When I received the bike, my husband put it together. One of the last pieces he put on the bike was he seat. The seat had a small tear in it. I contacted customer service though email and never got a response. So then I called customer services 2 or 3 days later and talked to someone. I asked if they could send out another seat for the bike. The walmart customer services rep said that I would have to return the whole bike through the mail to them and they would send another bike out. I explained that it was already together and all I needed was a new seat because the one we received was torn. They continued to state that I needed to return the whole bike to them. Take the bike apart put it back in the box and bring the box(which wasn't that light) to the post office to mail it back to Walmart.com. The other option was to bring it down to a Walmart store and explain the situation to them and if they had that bike in stock they could change it out for you, but there was no guarantee they would have that model or that they would be willing to exchange it. WHAT A RIDICULOUS RETURN POLICY!!! I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being put on hold for longer than I should've I hung up the phone. I will definetly think twice before purchasing large items through Walmart.com again. Finally I contacted Mongoose directly and they sent out a new seat free of charge without ant issuses.
The bike is ok but never order a bike online - you cannot imagine the shape of the box - bike damaged had to return to store - the other bike was not damaged but all items had been opened and left loose in the box - I think that when walmart put together bikes that they use extra bikes for any missing parts and then send out the box with a good luck to putting it together. Just buy at store.
The box was delivered with holes in it. When it was opened and parts were checked, one of the four pegs were missing. The paint on the frame is all scraped off in different places. If you just touch the paint with your fingernail it comes off.\n\nThe instruction booklet is another joke, it shows a totally different bike, different handlebars, everything !!\nI have contacted Customer Service as to the missing peg with hopes that they can send a one rather than because I purchased it on line and this is a Christmas present for my grandson.\nI would recommend purchasing a bike at the store so you can see what you're getting.\n\nVery disappointed.

What our shoppers say:
Good deal, good price
Our grandson is still on trainers on a way-too-small 16\" bike. I wante to get him a no-trainer 20\"bike with specal features like front and rear handbrakes plus coaster brakes to make the transition smoother. Unfortunatley, he's too short. So we gave up on the desired features and bought a cheap (smaller)bike that disapponted us all. THEN we saw this one and immeditely took the cheaper one back. It fits perfectly, has the double braking system, looks \"cool\", and has the perfect size transition...PLUS it has pegs for \"freestyling\" on the front (which HE really wanted). It also comes with trainers, but can be removed VERY easily. Also, it's made much better than the cheaper bike, and that makes me happy. We also bought \"Slime\" and thorn-proofed the tires since we livin the desert and thorns are everywere.
We got this bike for our daughter who is 10. This bike seemed like a good deal but just not worth the time or effort to get it right. The main problem is the brakes. The are very hard to pull for a girl, or boy of that age. They did not stop the bike and are very hard to adjust. The cheap pieces and hard springs make for poor movement so getting them to grab the rim was next to impossible. We gave this bike a good try, kept it just over a month, tried to adjust many times but just would not work. When my daughter hit the fence because she couldnt slow down, that was it for the bike. We do own a few wally world bikes, and I think some are better than others. Im glad walmart stood by the product and took it back, got her a different bike with great brakes and better quality. Hope this helps.\noh and everything was over tightened on the bike, bottom bracket, hubs, headset...
This bike came packaged well with no scratches or other problems as some described. It was easy to put together. The bike itself is great and very cute without being overly girly. Very happy with the purchase. (And so is she.)
This helmet is exactly what I was looking for. I have a smaller sized head so adult sizes were not an option for me. The design is great and while it is youth sized, there is nothing about it that says \"kid\". In fact, I get compliments on it all the time.
