We purchased this DVD for our grand daughter who LOVES Shrek-she has all of the DVD' except this one-It is so cute to watch our 21 month old PRINCESS put on her crown like Fiona has and laugh with each scene. Great purchase for her.
There's nothing malevolent about Austin Powers, he's clearly more Clouseau than Dr. Strangelove, and he is born out of affection, for both the period he's from and for a sense of humour that is peculiarly British.
I liked most of the movies (except the third). But this Blu-Ray version is $15 more than it's DVD counterpart and does not contain all the extras, like Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular. It takes up more space on my shelf. Overall I'm unsatisfied. Hopefully Dreamworks will re-release this in a thinner set with all the trimmings (like Shrek 3-D).
It's sweet, mildly funny, and a pleasant enough farewell from these once beloved characters. But there's a somewhat melancholy tone to the proceedings, as we watch this franchise try to hold onto its final shreds of dignity.
Great movie , although the character's behavior were horrid and leaves a parent with the feeling of dismay. It gives parents, the perfect opportunity to teach a child despite all the negative that is before them in a situation , children can make positive decisions, and if they don't outcomes will become quite a task trying to cover them up. This offers the similarities of all the wrong that can occur in life but in a way that children can have a better understanding on positive decision making.
I bought this movie in the Austin Powers trilogy pack. The reason why I bought it friends told how funny the series was and they were right. The beginning started out funny then later on into the very hysterical zone. The movies are so stupid they're funny. Once you watch these, you will no stop laughing.
