This book has taught me so many great things about taking care of my home. As a new homeowner, I felt so overwhelmed with the little things. Well, Martha helps with those little things and the big things. It's great to have advice on everything from doing laundry to picking out a durable couch. I have learned so much from this book, thank you Martha!

Although this book has recipes and instructions, it's not your average cookbook. I really like this book. It goes through steps and procedures that most cookbooks don't, and has plenty of pictures. It's more of a how-to book, a lot on dishes you may never have made. It's a big and thick book, make room for it! Also, I would recommend her \"Housekeeping Handbook.\" LOVE IT!

The other reviews on this quite honestly baffle me. Maybe I just got lucky, but I have made several things, currently working on a worsted weight double stranded baby blanket and have had only one peg pop-up when I put too much pressure on it. The pegs need to be pushed down really hard so they are in securely. I read where others turned the loom over after putting the pegs in and applied pressure on the whole back of the loom with the pegs on a flat surface to help secure them. If you are struggling really hard to work the yarn over, then you are wrapping too tightly. All tools that came with this set work perfect. I do have another pic that I use for certain yarns but I think this is a quality set other than the lame instruction booklet that is so lacking and disappointing since MS makes such a great magazine. I was very fortunate to find all the videos on youtube to help with this and learn how to make different things. I think this is a great kit.
