If you loved the movie, please do not buy this disjointed version. Most of the best-loved scenes from the original theater version were cut out or chopped up to be nearly unrecognizable. If you loved the running scene with the beautiful Clannad song, forget it, it isn't there. In fact, the entire scene when they reach the camp and go in for the rescue is edited so much it doesn't make sense. Those are just two examples, many of my favorite lines have also been cut out. Save your money and hope that someone will come to his\/her senses and release the pure, unadulterated theater version in the US for US DVD players.
Having already had the Movie on DVD, I purchased it on Blue Ray to get the best picture and the best sound.. I was very disappointed from the start. The movie's picture is horrible. Super dark, that I had to change my TV picture mode and brighten the screen(alot) just to see the movie. You would think they are hunting the Deer in the woods at night at first.. The Movie is great.. but the Blue Ray picture and sound quality for this film are the worst ever. I rather see it on DVD than on Blue Ray.\n\nI understand the movie is old.. but why the picture is so dark I don't get. If you are buying it on Blue Ray just for the picture and 1080p picture, DON'T. You will see much worst picture than the DVD format.
Hope we are able to get the rest of the series in the future as we could not find it, anywhere else, at the price, but Walmart. Your agent at the store was very helpful in finding it on line. Thank you.
Willis, Stowe, and Pitt deliver believable performances, the plot is complex and fun to follow, and the ending has a major twist. What more could one want? This is a perfect example of how mystery movies should be.
I have really enjoyed this DVD since picking it up. True, the movies are not Stallone's best known works, but I like Sylvester Stallone, so they're valuable to me. I particularly like Avenging Angelo and it ranks up there with my favorite movies of all time. Eye See You is a good thriller that had me guessing until the end. Stallone gives a very good, emotional performance in this movie. He plays a FBI agent but he's not the tough guy throughout, like he is in other movies of a similar nature. This movie showed his more emotional side, like in Cop Land (although he isn't a push over type character in this movie). I haven't watched Shade yet, but I'm expecting it to be good. I love Stallone and Gabriel Byrne, so I'm expecting it to be fairly well executed with good acting. Jamie Foxx and Stuart Townsend are also in the movie. Overall, a nice collection of Stallone's lesser known films, and like I said, maybe not his most famous movies but still good ones with good story lines.
This was not one of Stallone's best movies which is probably why it never made it to the theaters. It was a combination drama and comedy but it didn't quite cut it. This is an older movie. Since I collect Stallone movies and the price was right, I bought it. I would only recommend buying it at a low price.
