Actors such as Michael Clarke Duncan, Mo'Nique, Mike Epps and Cedric the Entertainer have been persuaded by writer-director Malcolm D. Lee to do crass routines that should have gone out with minstrel shows.
This movie is horrific! Had I known that this movie was going to belittle God and call him names I would have never brought it into my home. I feel dirty for doing so. I would not recommend this movie to anyone especially the younger generation. I'm speechless that Hollywood produced something this outrageous. In fact my husband stopped the movie and broke it into many pieces because of the words used to describe God. We should only speak highly of God! Please be cautious in choosing movies, I know we will be.
I enjoyed it. Real funny. If your sensitive to sexual comments or cursing, or have small children its not for you.\nHowever, if your open minded and dealing with no restrictions as to whats said. This is a definite must see. Id say if you like Eddie Murphy Delirious you will like this.
Pootie Tang works, in part, because it doesn't. Which is to say the movie's special success is inextricable from the moments where it blatantly fails. The movie exerts a beguiling charm that can only be explained as the je ne sais quoi of sa da tay.
