I loved this book! I watch the TV series, but the book is completely different. The relationship between Stephan and Damon is nowhere even close to the TV show. In the show they tolerate each other if nothing else. In the book they can't even be in the same room as the other. I must say I like the relationship between them in the show better, but the rest of the book is better all around. If you can get past the first five chapters it becomes really good. And I keep picturing Elena with brown hair instead of blonde. She looks better brunette in my opinion.

I bought this for my daughter per request. It's the NEW vampire trend books for the teens where we live. They are all reading them. I can't say for myself because I have not read any of the series but so far they are a hit with the youth!

This book was a lot better than Nightfall! I have noticed a change in Damons' personality from the first book to this one. He is a lot more open about things, well at least towards Elena. The bad thing is in this book that Elena and Damon become a lot more "friendly", I should say. The whole letting him feed off her I can understand, so he doesn't go out attacking innocent people. But the other things, wow! My favortie part out of the whole book was at the end of the first chapter and beginning of the second chapter. I laughed so hard because I could picture Matt doing what he did and Damon doing what he did. Loved Lady Ulma, wish I could have actully seen the dresses and jewelry for the parties. I was shocked at the end of the book. Was not expecting that, things should be getting more interesting with Damons' new condition. I highly reccomend this book, best in the series. Can't wait for July 1, The Return: Midnight comes out! Yay!

The first book, The Fury was excellent. The things happening in this book were more intense than the next one. I feel bad for Damon because nobody trusts him (which is his fault in the first place), but at least he's trying, at the present. I thought there were a couple of funny parts when Elena is a vampire. I was laughing when Elena goes and sees Bonnie and Meredith for the first time since she's changed. She should have ate before seeing them (that would have been extremely akward). I wasn't shocked when I found out who the Other Power was kind of guessed that one too. The second book, Dark Reunion wasn't as good. It wasn't as intense as the previous books. The second wasn't as good because Elena wasn't in it as much this time around. Tylers' secret didn't surprise me because someone mentioned that in the show they think he might be that, so I was looking out for signs in the book, and what do you know he was one. The Other Power in this one did surprise me however. Because the Other Power in The Fury said that she killed this person a few centuries ago, but it makes sense that he lived and came in the Dark Reunion, especially since he's an Old One. Even though this book was not as good as the previous two it's still good.

The first book was extremely slow, but the second one was really good. The first book was basically setting up the characters. The second book is where things become really interesting. There's more deaths happening, plus little secrets. And cannot forget the evil power that is making things happen in New Salem. Can't wait for Cassie to know how to use her powers!

This is the 3rd book of the \"The Hunters\" series following Elana and her friends, and the 10th book of the series. It is the wrap up book and brings us to the end of \"The Hunters\". Alot of good people die in this book, but then there are even more evil ones that die. (Yes, they get the bad guy). I was disappointed at the end. I couldn't tell of the series is ended or if it will go on. I enjoy reading these books and the world that was created by L.J.Smith. They are an easy read and keep the reader spell bound until the end. I can't wait to read the series again or the next installment of the series. Keep up the good work L.J.Smith.

I love vampire books. That being said, I have read a lot. This book however, was lacking a little something. I Love Damon!! He's the perfect, hot, bad boy vampire. Stephen... He's kind of got that Louie thing going from Interview w\/ a Vampire. He hates the fact that he's a monster and he's a very nice guy. Both guys love Elena, so the love triangle plot is good. It keeps you routing for your favorite vampire. Elena, hmm what can I say. I don't really like her at all. She's the heroine of the story. She's selfish, she uses people, and she's conceded. Your suppose to love and relate to the main character, personally I could not w\/ Elena. It is worth the read just for Damon. I've already purchased the latest installment of the series and will be reading it soon.
