THE experience of watching Trainspotting -- the electric, nasty and slick descent into the milieu of young Scottish junkies -- is a little like speeding through the digestive tract of some voracious beast.
This movie is like a Scottish version of Requiem of a Dream, but just more funny.\nLots of intense scenes. Lots of inappropriate language, so make sure no kiddies are in the room when you watch this.\nVery real. Great acting!!!
Rome was a work of art. Brillant cast, directing, and cinematography. Wonderful character development. Also, educational. Watch Rome a couple of times and if you concentrate real hard and apply close mental application you will see not only the past but the present, and future.
I LOVED this show! It's very smart, action packed, and, of course "adult".
I believe that those who enjoy "Sons of Anarchy", "Deadwood" and "The Walking Dead" will see yet another great series with "Rome".
Just upset that HBO didn't give them a third season...should have, and could have, went on for a very long time. Great show, none-the-less! WATCH IT! :D
It was well done and enjoyable. It gives you a taste of how life probably was in Historical Times. I purchased it during the Holiday Season so the value was exceptional. I also bought ROME Season Two and enjoyed it as well.
A very unusual approach to the prosaic boy-gets-girl-in-the-end plot, the performers are delightful, and I love the scenes of Scotland. With the exception of extreme sexual content, this movie is well done and so funny.
Thomas Harris is now hoodwinked by his creation's faux pedigree. He's scripted him a ridiculously Eurotrashy upbringing, one so silly, it'll remind you of Dr. Evil's memory-tripping: "Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons..."
Hannibal Rising, older movie in brand new condition
If you've seen \"Silence of the Lambs\", you definitely need to see this 'prequel' which explains how Hannibal got that way to begin with in gruesome detail. A compelling film that will have you cheering for the bad guy, with a plot twist at the end you won't see coming. I'm glad we now own this movie because I will definitely be watching it again. Two thumbs up!
