This film is beautifully written, acted and directed. The quality of the film is great and the Cast is WONDERFUL. I loved each story line. I found myself comparing my life or my friends' lives to those of the characters. At one point in the film, I looked at my friend and with a chuckle said, \"Now that is definitely you.\" I recommend any and everyone to get this movie and watch it. It's a perfect example of what great writing and great acting can do for a film, especially one with an all black cast. I loved it. 5 Stars from myself and my friends. Kudos to the entire crew and cast of this movie.
Few pictures can match the glamorous pull of Dreamgirls. Bill Condon's first big musical since Chicago is a glossy, gleaming Cadillac of a film with a vintage rhythm and blues engine tuned to perfection. The cast is dressed to kill.
At the end of this weak comedy is a strange and touching scene in which Bill Cosby and his childhood pals from Philadelphia, now elderly men, gather at the grave of Albert Robertson, the real-life inspiration for Cosby's bighearted Fat Albert.
I enjoyed the movie and its so many twists and turns that kept me watching. It appears slow but its the type of movie that builds upon each scene. I enjoyed all the actors especially the jr attorney and his girlfriend. The story is true to things that happen in life today. A woman playing games with two men - a man dogged out by his girl and the one he loves he puts on hold trying to stay with the woman causing pain. As a Christian, I can see many jewels. My husband and I plan to use it to teach how to deal with relationship and what to take and put up with. I really enjoyed clifton powel and the attorney. You can see how a real man would handle these type of situations.\n\nIt's not a fast moving but its pack with meaning.
