No picture, just a black screen with sound. Double checked all connections, ended up calling JVC help line...who said \"sounds like you got a bad one...been a lot of those lately\".... No thanks! Returned and got a refund!
My iFrogs earbuds recently broke, i've had over 20 pairs of them. I had these when I was 8, tugged them out of the back of my dresser, and they still work in one ear. (The other one fell apart, someone snapped the earbud piece off.) I will definitely be buying them tonight!
I wasn't expecting high-end performance at this price point, but I have been very satisfied with the array of features and the audio performance. Installation and setup have been relatively easy, but I find the JVC Android app to be fairly buggy on my Motorola Atrix 4G, and I still have been unable to get the Pandora app to work, but I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet. Phone audio with the mic is only average and has substantial echo, but I haven't tried alternate mic placement or the menu adjustments. USB play is very good and using the JVC playlist creator provides full song info on the display.
The JVC marshmallow headphones have a rich bass that doesn't over power the sound. The high and mid-range are good quality. The memory foam ear plugs help cancel outside noise but may need to get used to style. I use them working out and don't need to crank up the volume to hear. They stay placed in-ear for a good amount of time before adjustments are needed. Although they are not top of the line, they run with headphones that cost ten times as much. The bass and memory foam are the best features as I use them in the gym most of the time. I would only recommend 70% of max volume as they will get loud and may cause damage to ear drum.
I returned this because it would not record in any format other than AVCHD. no mpeg, Mov, or mp4 formats. Took it back and got a refurbisned Canon. I also did not like the fact that it did not have an automatic lens cover.
